  1. There's only you talking about Penis rings.? I know you know a Waist Expander when you see one, they could have been invented for you.?
  2. I used to use "Ace Worm Extract." I used to mix it in small quantities into the groundbait that I used to plug an open ended feeder. I always felt it was worthwhile.
  3. I'm ready for Christmas. How about you Chesters? Have you got the Sprouts on yet?
  4. I've not had much success when targeting Chub in coloured water, although the odd ones I've caught have always been large for that venue. Cheesepaste doesn't need messing with as a bait, simple works just fine, but play around all you want, who knows, you might find the new wonderbait. If it's not too cold, I'd use the tin of meat that's always in my bag and go for Barbel, they really do like a warm flood.
  5. No-one told me we were supposed to stop!?
  6. Thanks Phone: I guess Cory is too busy peeling spuds or washing pots. Now I just need to ascertain the difference between milling and grinding.?
  7. This much I already knew, hence the question that you've now swerved for a second time.
  8. You don't know what I think or what I know. It should be obvious from my initial question that I do know. Also note what you told me in your previous post:- " Couscous is made with durum. Durum is the part of the wheat grain that is not ground by the millwheel." Whether I already knew or not is irrelevant, (I did), having read that, I obviously would then know. Perhaps you'd like to answer my original question now.
  9. I have so many pet hates I have my own zoo, but here's one that pees me off every day, cos I can guarantee I'll hear it every day. TV or radio person:- "Coming up" Don't waste time telling me what's coming up, just let me see/listen when we get there.
  10. OK, so enlighten me. What's the difference between *not ground* and *left over after milling*?
  11. It's not quite that simple. Pasta is made from Durum Wheat flour: Couscous is made from the bits that are left over after the wheat has been milled into flour. i agree with Chesters, it's awful stuff, not on my menu at all, ever,(and I'll eat just about anything).
  12. Good riddance to Peter Sutcliffe, no-one is going to miss him!
  13. I can remember back in the fifties (when owning a car was still unusual for a "normal" family), my Dad always used to say, "You won't see a bookie on a bike" It is indeed a mugs game: fast forward to the seventies, my takehome money at the time approx £50 per week - we had a painter at work who was totally addicted to the gee-gees, he'd often come back to the job after lunch with £2,000 in his pocket - it was always gone again by home time. I used to have the occasional flutter but stopped after the 1983 Derby - I'd picked a forecast with Teenoso and Carlingford Castle but couldn't find a betting shop - I kicked the radio across the floor after listening to the race and have never bet on the horses since.

    Bummer!

MS and Shingles are both nerve based diseases: the MS was already causing her problems and her walking ability was down to about a mile using two sticks and very frequent rests on the return half. Within three days of having Shingles she was unable to get out of a chair unaided and could only stagger about (no way you could call it walking) with a walking frame. She began to walk again eventually and could manage about 300 yards (with a rollator) until a fall at home put a stop to anything involving her legs, they just no longer work at all. When she was first diagnosed with 2PMS the specialist assured her that she would never need a wheelchair, now she lives in one.

    Bummer!

Me too: turned 70 this year. I'm just hoping for a whole day off some time. Not had one since November 2014 when my wife added Shingles to her MS and lost the ability to weight-bear.
  16. The Alessi peeler has a horizontal blade; no use to me at all, I'm not changing the way I peel spuds after over 60 years. Mine is Japanese: Kyocera. I declined the one offered on eBay for £25 and got the same thing from Amazon for £9.95. Expensive for a spud peeler, but I'm at that stage of my life where I can buy what I want without worrying about the cost. I had a Citroen BX a few years ago and I quite liked that, I now have a tin shed in the front garden that used to be a Berlingo van, but you're wrong, I don't drive a Citroen, out of necessity I drive a Wheelchair Accessible Peugeot. Unfortunately I had to sell my BMW, I can't justify running two vehicles.
  17. I've just looked at the Lakeland website and they don't have a ceramic blade peeler, my local kitchen accessory shop is no doubt like all other retail businesses these days and driven by profits, they don't stock oddities that will sit on a shelf for months. If the Amazon staff are poorly treated it's not up to me to fight their battles, for one thing, I have enough of my own, and for another, I've lost count of the number jobs I've walked off if something wasn't right, they are at liberty to do the same.
  18. Even eBay is not perfect: I wanted a left handed , (or universal) potato peeler with a ceramic blade. I found one that looked like a left handed blade but couldn't be sure from the pics - I emailed the seller and asked them. Their response was:- "Haven't got a clue mate", mine was, "Well I won't bother buying it then mate!" As it happens, I eventually got one from Amazon.
  19. At the bottom of the reply box:- "Choose Files" then select the pic on your device.

    TEST

    No, it's recreational.
  22. The first one looks like a Palomar knot to me, no need for any other funny business at that age. Trying to teach three at the same time is never going to work Phone. https://www.animatedknots.com/fishing-knots
  23. It is with a digital camera, but if you still use a film camera you buy the film at whatever ISO speed you want/need. I used to use ISO100 film in summer and ISO 400 film in winter. Fortunately digital camera are much better at dealing with high ISOs, the old ISO 400 film would usually produce a very *grainy* pic. My current DSLR, a Canon 80D can handle ISO settings way over 400 without a pic being grainy, and of course there is digital software to deal with a bit of graininess anyway.
