  1. Called around to find he'd spent the day making these for the folk at their church. Apparently, several had already been collected so it would have been a bigger herd had we got there earlier. It was a frustrating picture to take though as it was very dark in their back yard and I couldn't get the camera to focus easily. It would multiple flash as if searching for the right setting, but not take the shot itself......Novices eh!
  2. Thought I'd add one taken today on a walk along the Leeds Liverpool Canal.
  3. Nice one Clive...The sliding down the bank bit is great isn't it? My problem is that I sometimes don't think about how I'm going to get back up again....
  4. Can't believe that Finepix. I seem to get myself into stalking situations where I need to quite often....Must be me.
  5. No.....that lot moved onto Arsenal (briefly) and are now Chelski fans. FWIW I thought ManUre were totally in control and should have scored on two occasions but for sheer arrogance from Saha. Balde should have questions asked about him as to why he's breaking too many players legs (or attempting to).
  6. Can't remember after trawling through all the answers if the AA had been suggested. We're paying about £350 on a new group 17 car.....that's after stopping my £750 rip off policy on a Land Rover with Direct Line - now ( unfortunately) chopped in to pay for the new one
  7. Why is it no good Merlino? It's about time people started thinking about things before making their minds up and stating their conclusions in public. As an aside, well done to airport staff recently for informing police that commercial airline pilots were about to take off with lots of folk (including children) onboard whilst intoxicated, and, hence, stopping these idiots from flying. Aeroplanes (much like target pistols) are inanimate objects. It's the disturbed people that operate them that need banning.
  8. Oh dear, seems like you've still got a long way to go then Rob if these people are still around. Ban the car I say......such a lethal weapon.....etc, et bloody cetera.
  9. Signed and good luck in your campaign. This and the Dangerous Dogs Act are two of the most nauseating and ill thought out pieces of knee-jerk legislation that really get my goat (to say the least) passed in recent times by government pandering to tabloid newspapers.

Top bloke and contributed an awful lot of data on the likes of breaking strain etc. I think he maybe got the hump because some folk dismissed and/or didn't appreciate the technical content he obviously researched. How's the villain chasing going?
  11. Cheers for that Norrie. I needed some ink and they just happen to have those for the Epson R200 on special offer. 6x blacks and 2x each of all the others for £34 - Bargain!
  12. I've got a Matt Hayes version of a spinning sim for the PC lying around somewhere too. Not bad but not brilliant.
  13. Well, as a 'Friend of Laphroaig' I have a lifelong lease of one square foot of the Isle of Islay. Cost me nowt and I got a free miniature to boot......Plus a dram is promised once a year should I wish to visit my square foot and place a flag on it (viewable on the net I hasten to add).
  14. Newt....you've got my total respect man. Talk about having to juggle!
  15. We're with Petplan too but have had problems with them before. Our first dog had a brief course of treatment for Canker, easily cured with antibiotics. Some YEARS later he developed an inner ear infection. Petplan associated the two and refused to pay out. A letter from the vets sorted it.
  16. That was very, very strange.....
  17. Sandpipper....you need to get out more.
  18. Quite suprised at this, and it emphasises how much it all comes down to individual tastes with the centepin. I've got a Fred Crouch and I think it's by far the worst of my (7, I think) 'pins by a long way. To illustrate; I have a 'real' Match Aerial but also the Free Spirit badged version of the Match Aerial and I love it (albeit, not so much for trotting but more legering). When Alan Roe did his 'magic' on it and filed away to make it run that bit better, I was more than pleased with the results but he obviously had no regard for the reel at all....hey ho! I guess the days spent using them and the results attained count for a lot in formulating your personal preferences. My original Aerial, closely followed by the James Lightweight are both my pride and joy....but I aspire to a Witcher one day. As for the Okuma.....Ford Capri Ghia, Rodney!
  19. Submariner - I once spent 63 days of my, then, young life underwater locked in a steel cigar whilst hooray henrys drove the frigging thing around at silly speeds and angles.
  20. Yep, makes me laugh every time that one.....
