  1. Well mine has closed and now have a computer store in its place where I can order all of my necessities from the web.... Joking aside I now have to drive 15 miles to get to the nearest tackle shop that doesn't have half the tackle I would consider buying. The maggots, if I could ever bring myself to use them, I can get from the secretary of the club I belong to- delivered. You can get advice from the web but how personable is that? We're a bunch of antisocialites! For my two cents I'd agree with Newt on location.
  2. WPA/PSK will do well for what you want. Turn it on and set your own key. You should be able to turn off the broadcast of the SSID. That way you have to know the SSID AND the key in order to connect to it. In other words it's still there you just can't see it by looking for an available network. Glad you sorted it.
  3. Rocket science! Have a look here.. http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/forums/Wireles...ion-t82422.html Sometimes a simple reboot of the router will cleanse it of some problems but it may 'erase' the cause making it difficult to troubleshoot. What are the specs for your wireless pc? Which 802.11 standard is it? Nomadpaul- Yep that's pretty much canned.. But good info either way. Sifting through it though...
  4. A young girl on a year's training course in South Africa recently received a 'Dear John' letter from her boyfriend back home. It read as follows: Dear Mary, I can no longer continue our relationship. The distance between us is just too great. I must admit that I have cheated on you twice, since you've been gone, and it's not fair to either of us. I'm sorry. Please return the picture of me that I sent to you. Love, John Mary, with hurt feelings, asked her colleagues for any snapshots they could spare of their boyfriends, brothers, ex-boyfriends, uncles, cousins etc. In addition to the picture of John, Mary included all the other pictures of the pretty lads she had collected from her buddies. There were 57 photos in that envelope along with this note: Dear John, I'm so sorry, but I can't quite remember who the f**k you are. Please take your picture from the pile, and send the rest back to me. Take Care, Mary
  5. Hi Lid, Do you have many things plugged into a power strip or just the PC? Have you opened the box to see what if any damage has been done inside? Since you have been gone, something may have gotten in and started chewing wires. I'd start there. One may have gone to ground. I just recently had a 13A extension melt because I overloaded it. You couldn't tell by looking at it, but it tripped the main every time.
  6. Incredible. Youtube Video ->Original Video
  7. Incredibly, no-one - including the family - noticed the error and they got on the charter plane without realising where it was going. Sounds like multiple issues to me. For one- why did they not go to the correct gate. Thick? Definitely... And she's a teacher? At what point do you take responsibility for your travel? I think they should take the blame. It was their holiday.
  8. Maybe I should have posted this in the coarse section? I hope he's alright. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/25738261/from/ET/
  9. http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/ Then try this.....
  10. Jon, You've caught my wifes sentiments exactly although it sounds more like: "GUMP, How can you watch that stupid $h!t?!" Mark, I look forward to these new shows regardless of how they are presented. i.e. IP or televised.
  11. There's nothing like poking fun at each other... Youtube Video ->
  12. Had a small jack last week of about 10 inches. Was out until dusk on the yak trolling every lure I own. I can say I saw and heard some huge splashes. I imagine they are there and feeding just not on anything artificial or dead. Didn't start seeing the bigger fish move until right before dark..
  13. I don't have the answer to that and yet it is strange.. In his case he parked in an area that required a parking pass (forgetting to display) and they booted him prior to giving him a warning, AND knowing full well that he was a resident. That will be $140.00 please. I would have contested too.
  14. What part of the island? We took a trip out to Gozo for the day on a catamaran.. By the end I was desperate for shade. I bet you could do great things with rapala rattletraps or any type that rattle. I used them on Ascension for a type of jack crevalle. I don't know what licenses you may need though.
  15. That looks complicated Mr. W. Glad to see you back.
  16. Haven't been there in a few years Phil but I have one tip for you. Take some sunscreen BTW I didn't get a chance to fish.
  17. You can't handle the truth!! Try this one, could it be?? Youtube Video -> Its a conspiracy! I should have deleted it too.
  18. Picked up one of the seasons for Scientific American Frontiers off of itunes. Pretty interesting innovations. Youtube Video ->Original Video Next is the Discovery Atlas series.
  19. It mostly happens on hills when trying to accelerate, I just can't really tell if the wheels are actually spinning or if something was wrong relating to the gearbox. I do sometimes miss my AWD Impreza though. The T4 is hands down faster. The Impreza wasn't a WRX.
  20. You've never had Old Milwaukee or Rainier?
  21. Thanks Dave and Phil! I'll have to look around a bit I think. I was invited to a game fair in Knaresborough last year from a vendor in Harrogate. I was unable to go but I was told there would be loads of rods to try and some instruction. I also think there is some instruction by the hour at Stonebridge. (Which by the way has changed hands once again.. Soon to be flyfishing for carp) FWIW it was an amazing sight watching this person cast. He was in no way clumsy.
  22. Thanks Steve. I don't want to be forking out loads of cash and find I didn't need to. I have read that I can remedy this by upgrading motor mounts and bushings. But thankfully not required! You suggest a lack of common sense of which I can assure you I have too much of. Cheers Colin... I'll keep that in mind.
