  1. I say there Scap old chap you put your foot in it there old boy.You appear to be the forums spokeman on racist issues and soon jump on someones back with your holier than though attitude. I think when you live amongst Asians and muslims you can have your say old chap but whilst you live up in the Orkneys away from any muslims.asylum seekers Asians e.t.c i think its best you keep your comments to yourself eh what. Im proud of the st George flag and find your remarks about Right wing morons and the racists using it as there symbol a tad disgracefull and unpatriotic. I think its time i changed my Avatar old boy as your not the upstanding fellow i though you was. Well Captain, I am sorry if I have disappointed you. But if one should sit back and ignore offensive behaviour to be "Up standing" then call me a degenerate. I would object to vandals and other criminals too. Where ever you live your national symbol should be a matter of pride. The fact that some distastful elements have hi-jacked it is a case for wresting it from them for it's honourable display.( I kinda feel the same about my Avatar) If some amongst us are happy for St George's cross to be tainted then you can't be surprised when it is not thought fit to embellish official uniforms. And BTW Dean I have just finished a bacon sarine for my breakfast but as Sportsman says "What has that got to do with anything???" Cheers Scapa [ 08. 2. Apologies Dean you are quite right that I mistook you two by the Avatar. However the point on the use of the flag stands and I don't think anyone can accuse me of not having a sense of humour I am just fussy about what I think is funny and what is in poor taste. As for calling names, as my granny used to say "If the cap fits". [ 06. October 2005, 09:33 PM: Message edited by: Scapanapper ]
  3. The point is Dean that if you want to take this proud symbol back from the Right wing morons and the racists then do what you can to raise the standard (excuse the pun) of it's use. This includes not being associated with dubious jokes as per some of your other posts. The flag of St George should not be tainted with such misuse. Call me PC if you like but from what I've seen in some of the comments made, the Prison inspector had a point. Rant over Scapa

  7. Maybe last time you looked in 1918 but as far as I know Turkey has been a member of NATO for many a year. And remember gentle English folk. St George came from Turkey so it must be alright.
  8. Is that what they call a "Stag movie"?
  9. As well as being a great bargain hunter my better half is also keen on haggeling with market traders. She will never live down the time when negotiating for some childrens coats priced at £12 each, she urged the stall holder to let her have two for £25 Cheers Scapa
  10. A girl deserves a room with a view Cheers Scapa.
  11. Perhaps you are right Ken.Any one who's parents where not willing to contribute to your requirements should be destroyed at birth just in case they don't reach thier full potential. Or maybe we can invest in people for the good of us all.
  12. Actually Ken it will be the younger generation working for you as Cory says.Besides who is going to deliver the goods you need? Someone elses children. Who is going to care for you when you are sick? Someone elses children. Who is going to dispose of your body when you die? Some one elses children. If you choose not to have children your self then you should respect and support those that do for without children it will soon be mighty lonely around here! Father of three Scapa [ 21. 17. I have only just learnt of Alan's passing and am greatlysaddened by it. I like many here only knew Alan through AN but I had great respect for his knowledge, sense of humour and generosity of spirit. His courage in his fight against his illness was inspiring and I hope a help and comfort to those experiencing similar circumstances.
