  1. Had a blast with the bootlaces last year on a canal. Pinkie - bootlace single maggot - bootlace double maggot - bootlace tripple maggot - bootlace sweetcorn - bootlace Sheer desperation large chunk of luncheon meat - 4lb pike
  2. I adore the bootlaces it's when they are above a pound it frightens me their teeth are bigger
  3. Arranged my fishing trip for this weekend and spent a couple of weeks preparing for it. It's a difficult venue at the best of times as Big G can verify. Been keeping an eye on the forecast with metcheck and although the weather will be at its worst the fishing conditions will be at their best. I still expect to blank but am looking forward to the experience. Obviously if things get too bad no fish is worth risking lives for. Good luck to anyone venturing out and above all be safe not stupid
  4. Kendo ITV pulled the plug as explained on one of the families websites http://www.theattfields.com/
  5. High Legh is not worth the effort at the moment as the carp are spawning. Ackers Pit is too silted up they have people in at the moment recording the depths etc for excavation.
  6. Been getting my maggots from a couple of venues and noticed that one particular venues didn't last long and severely reduced catch rate. This obviously made me turn to the other one and buy 4 pints on a regular basis. However taking the same pot to the first shop having run out of time this week the guy said I can't fit 4 pints in there. We'd been getting duped for months. So I guess we were paying more than you guys as we were paying for 4 but only getting 3. As a point of interest both shop managers were there at the same time so it won't happen again. Incidently all the maggots for both shops come from the same supplier on the same day. Any suggestions as to why they should have differing results? or are we just unlucky
  7. Graham they are listed on the back of the night permit Grey Mist Mere, Rixton Clay Pits, Sandiway Lakes, Moore Quarry, Town Park Lake, R. Ribble, Trent & Mersey Canal (wides) and Sankey Canal at Carterhouse.
  8. Can't see the pic either. Come to think of it I haven't seen any of the pics on the site any idea why?
  9. Just a tad but he's only 11 bless him with clumsy as his middle name
  10. I thought I had too much tackle until my son decided to break two poles, three rods, two reels, lose 6 plummets, umpteen leads and disgorgers and a rod rest On the bright side I get to buy new when I give him mine as a replacement

    Weed

Graham go ahead, I've lost a carp on a water that I had to steer it through dense weed and lillies only to vacate my swim and see a guy hack the swim to pieces. To rake the water you are on about would not be a problem as long as you tell me which swim As far as this water goes you are left to your own devices they like to keep the area as natural as possible but there has been many a comment if you are not happy maintain it yourself.
  12. However if you went on the Ann Summers website with the same name you would have been inundated
  13. Graham he wouldn't have been able to stay between the lines. I was thinking how it looked like those glass ones you find at the car boot sales that every house used to have in the 70's
  14. Dan nice of your relative to let you fish his pond darlin' Super fish, love the colouring, well done. I went to have a look at a few venues today I haven't fished and was watching a few Koi and tench following a guys float he was reeling in, it was magical.
  15. Andrew, congratulations great accomplishment twice in one day. I'm sure it won't take you another 25years, you're older and wiser now

    Rip off

Graham I've been with Warrington for just over a year and during that time they have never made any secret of the fact Sandiway are hard waters to fish. The smaller lake is 17 acres the bigger lake 53 acres. I went over to have a look at the place today and was in awe at the magnitude of the lakes. It is definately a venue that you night fish and one of those waters that you have to be prepared to blank a few times. What I kept reminding myself today was how unfished the water was. There seems to be an abundance of natural food and the fish present haven't got used to the boilie scene yet. We all have one of those waters in our lives that become a matter of principal, pride whatever you want to call it and I think Sandiway will be mine. I did witness a few decent tench coming out the small lake today. Going on passed records for this venue you can ask me how I got on in approximately 2 years
  17. Congratulations to the lads and all the fans who turned out to make such an electrifying homecoming http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v77/fata...peancup2005.jpg
  18. Outstanding performance in the second half and extra time. Gerrards determination not to come away without the trophy definately turned things around. Dudek and Carragher earned their pay. Well done lads we are all proud of you. Guess that answers what I am doing bank holiday weekend, homecoming here we come
  19. sick bucket please! It's the nicest possible way of saying to those I leave behind that I will haunt them forever in their dreams
  20. Beautiful Dreams - Chris de Burgh
  21. Be careful with the Jap import insurance. Some of the companies selling the jap imports know how impossible it is to find an insurance company to take you on and therefore hold a list of companies that will to enhance their sale. We were offered a jap import last year and rang eight reputable insurance companies that wouldn't touch it at all. Contacted numerous companies on the net, all of whom would not touch it. We went to a Jap import trader who gave us a list of insurance companies who would insure it. Out of 6 companies the cheapest was over £700.00. An acqaintance is paying over a £1000 for a pajero. This is from a reputable insurance company that won't accept any new jap import clients. We decided to give it a miss and got a landrover instead
  22. They reckon as you rightly said that the numbers have to correspond to prevent fraud. However prior to the last election the various party candidates knocked on my mothers door canvassing for her vote. One particular candidate asked 'are you voting for us AGAIN this year?' Need I say more?
  23. I love watching that show. Had my own ghost in my house for 8 years. He shown himself to two of my three children, two of my three step children and 4 guests. He used to move things out of my reach so I had to stand on chairs or ladders to retrieve them. The letterbox would rattle at 2am every morning and then his footsteps were clearly heard up the stairs. The only time I actually saw him was a black figure. That was the last experience we ever had in the house. Every other vision had been of a complete being, middle aged man with a pinstriped suit. Nobody ever compared details or new about each others sitings until they had experienced it for themselves. It has since been explained to me that my sighting was the back view of him leaving the house for good. I never delved into the history to find out who he was as if I could put a real name to him that would have really freaked me out.
  24. 6 minutes came from the two eejits that ran on the pitch. Heck of a game, congratulations to Liverpool. Should be a mind blowing final if AC Milan get through tomorrow.
  25. Spud as with all angling venues these days there is safety in numbers. A few local guys fish Town Park Lake regularly. If you can get down there have a word with them and perhaps you can arrange to fish at the same times as them. Can't quite remember but I think you would need to get two buses. One from Widnes to the shopping city and one to castlefields near the Barge pub. Don't quote me on it but I heard that they were going to keep Town Park as a day ticket water so that the locals are not excluded from fishing it.
