What a cheek Where abouts is the farm Matt? If its Marsh farm thats only at the pitsea fly-over, it would only cost £17:50 to get a taxi!

Corn, either double or triple and balanced out with fake corn. At night i will use mostly boilie's, sometimes with a piece of fluro corn at the stop, Although iv stop using it so much now as it was in an angling mag last month.

Driver's who take the right hand lane of a roundabout to go straight over and cut you up! Driver's who take the left hand lane of a roundabout and don't pull off, cutting everybody up! Driver's, including taxi's who stop in a one way street to pick someone up instead of pulling in. Drivers (this ones normally woman) who think they drive a tank and drive at 15mph in a 30 in a one way street, when it is clearly safe to do the legal speed. Normally the person above who at the end of the street move into the right hand lane (normally clear as no parking within 10 metres of a junction) and then go straight over, cutting you up, thus making you having to sit behind them at 15mph again The two things that make me go unbelievably angry are people who flick their cigarette out of the window, resulting in me getting covered in a shower of sparks (imagine if it hit me in the face when the visor was open). And getting a face full of screen wash

I can belive that Newt, i'v been keeping reptile's for the last ten years and been handling them since the age of of about 8, at the mo I have about 60 and have never had a bite worse than a hatchling non venemous snake. I wonder how many of the 4000 that wern't provoked was people not looking at were they were walking. It annoys me reading about snakes "attacking" in the media, a snakes first form of defence is to run and hide.

Nice one Mat, i thought that was you over there with the same sig. I have some very fond memories of Southminster, my grandparents used to have a caravan in Bradwell on sea and most of my holidays were spent there. I'm itching to get some more time over there, we used to fish mainly pit 6 i think, funny shaped one with only a couple of swims, used to be some nice tench in there and pit 1, some monster roach in that one. I think i was mistaken in my last post, its not the bradwell/braintree pond with the telegraph pole, it's the pond with the river comming off the back of it (not shalford) had some nice cruicians out of there. All i can really remember about the bradwell/braintree pond is you had to hold the tree's to get to your swim as it was a very steep windy path.

Thanks Paul, you'v been a great help. The Bradwell/Braintree pond i'm thinking of has a telegraph pole in the middle of the car park, it's now surrounded by tyres as one of the family reversed into it It used to be rammed with pike, the pond not the pole

Is anybody a member of this club? I was from about 1990 until about 1996 and more or less learnt to fish in these waters with my granddad. Since he died last year me and my dad have been talking about joining up again and fishing some of his old haunts, mainly Southminster, the Laundry lake and a few others including the river sections. Iv looked on the website and it still seems like a good club but theres nothing like a bit of first hand knowledge. Are the waters still good float waters or have they turned into a boiley bashing club? Is there still a good head of roach (particular southminster)? Can you still surface fish the laundry lake? Is there a lot of "nuisance kids" in the club? (i mean turn up in a bivvy housing 12 weed smoking chavs). I couldn't see on the website if they still have the pond at Bradwell (Braintree), is this still part of the club and have the "walkways" been improved? How long does it take for membership to come through or is there a way to do it by hand? Thank for any replies and any further info appreciated

A little Survey On How Much Gear You Take To The Bank!
DJMCJERICO replied to Crackin Clax's topic in Coarse Fishing
As light as possible! I go fishing by motorbike so don't want to be famously overloaded or have it pulling my back off at 70mph. Instead of a bedchair i take a camp bed that needs to be put up instead of unfolded and a tent/shelter with those small fiberglass poles. Places like army and navy stores are gret for things like that. -
Yea but give min his dues, it was only about 20 ft

Forget the banana, just give me the split

Actually it is, the other match officals can send the ref off! I thought that if a team went down to 8 players then the game was replayed at a later date. Hold your head up high Newt, they played well (from what i saw of the first half) and got a good result considering. Your not out of it yet
