  3. could be somthing has altered your windows sounds, try this. assuming you are on windows xp go to the control panel select "Sounds and audio devices" once open select "Sounds" from this you should see "Sound schemes" in the drop down box under it select "Windows default" message will popup asking to save previous scheme select no hope this helps

  20. i went a walk up the canal today with my nephew and seen some kids catching some large perch at the same place me and andy went, and some alchoholics spinning and catching nothing but weeds. its just a guess but there has been alot of work being done on the canal could this be the cause of its deterioration. up my end they are connecting the canal to another canal further up im not sure but the water is prety much like a dumping ground i hope they clean it up
  21. i dont blame the guy for trying. afterall you coulda been just anyone trying to get some money from him and i dont reckon getting irate at them will help any, unles your looking for a black eye there does seem to be such a thing as a permit from british waterways but itr appears only to be about cycling so the guy probably was trying to wriggle out of it if you have the proper authority and identification flash it in his face
