havin caught 60lb tope that fish is way over 60lb an given that ian can guesstimate fish to within a couple of pounds and has taken fish to well into the 80,s i,m more than confident that his judgement will be better than most !!

plenty in the clyde system , not in huge shoals yet but put the hours in an you can have enough for your needs !!

hi powder hound , there should be plenty pollock an coalies about from the rock marks to jellies and spun sandeels , fish in front of logan fish ponds for the chance of a coalie , plaice or dab , also coalies , maybe an elusive bass , an the everpresent coalies , as norries says hes out on the boat at the weekend , well i,m down shore fishing sat , but not at port logan , will be at other venues , but i,m also out on the boat on sunday with ian woooohooo

aye norrie nothing illegal except fishing in the exclusion zone around douneray, which he done last year and got caught , what happened , his catch was confiscated !!! what would have happened if he had,nt got caught , he would have been putting potentially harmfull food stuffs into the market , does this tell you that the skipper is a law abiding conscientius commercial skipper no better than a f**kin criminal and should be treated the same !!

this skipper rapped one of the sea lochs last year took all the big breeding stock that were about to pup has absolutley no scrupples why not wait a month till they had pupped !!

hi john , we normally just drive down the same morning as our trip but we do have a couple or three weekends down there usually bivvy up at east or west tarbet or ardwell back bay and have a chase about for the spinny silver fish or try an connect with a tope from one of the bays , on the ship note john i think she might just have made the pub a white elephant , anglers used to spend a lot of money in there , i might be wrong (not be the first time)and she might turn it into a fine eaterie and wine bar but can you imagine her telling mally and ian or snatcher to tone it down when their full of the sauce
