Not having been to a fancy dress party since I was about 6 years old, I have no idea what to go as. Maybe you can help....

 

- there are 4 of us going as a group.

- It's in a couple of weeks, so not much time to do any work.

- must be cheap.

- would be nice to be 'original'.

 

Any ideas?

Did one the other week. We have a great costume hire place close to home, you name it they had it.

I walked in and the very first rack I saw, that was for me. An officer and a gentleman outfit. All the ladies instantly recognised the outfit and as the drink took effect I WAS RICHARD GEERE.

Whatever you do, pick an outfit that is instantly recognisable, not having to explain what you've come as. We'd a great night but the wife was too noisy. Her court jester outfit had dozens of bells on. At least I could tell when she was coming.

I expect to pass through this world but once; any good thing therefore that I can do, or any kindness I can show to any fellow - creature, let me do it now, let me not defer or neglect it, for I shall not pass this way again.

That's easy then, all go dressed as ghosts in white sheets, simple & cheap. Or change the theme slightly and put some overalls on, backpacks with hoover hoses attached and go as the 'ghost busters' ghost pumpkin
