Manufacturing moves out.

The service industries move out.

Government refused to implement unPC "protectionists" polocies.

The nation state becomes impotent and irrelevant.

After using up all the resourses in the countries that gave them birth, the now global corperations simply move on like locusts.

For most of their populations, Britain, Western Europe and North America become the new third world.

The rich get richer.

I thought that I'd heard that some of the eariest companies to operate out of India were now starting to re-locate their call center operations back into the U.K.

Yes, some companies have indeed moved back to the UK, but few have come back completely. More often than not they've tended to move the more technical aspects back because that's what was causing most issues, but in the majority of cases a lot of the bulk is still in India.

I work in a call centre, its in England and staying in England. Alot of the companies who outscourced found that whilst cost is cheaper avg wage for indian graduate is about 4k out there where we pay joe bloggs of street 12500pa. Have moved back to the uk because even though the cost of running is cheaper they are losing more general sales because of the service customers receive on the phone, also the huhge increase in costs to the call centres. Over here i know when people phone us they get of the phone usually happy, problems have been resolved and they have been understood with excatly what they are saying. My contact centre had to change a little to keep it within the companys budget but now we take 5000 calls a day provide internet support, customer services, telesales, special requests and VIP bookings. So we no longer just a call centre but deal with just about every point of contact to us. Phone india and tell me what you get?

My company has moved it's internal IT call centre to India. I had to call the other day and was told that my question is not supported and I should ask my colleagues.

I am not telling you who I work for though, lol.
