Bikes (not necessarily classics)

250cc Francis Barnet - sold

Triumph Tiger Cub - sold

Velocette Venom - wrecked

(would have loved the Thruxton but couldn't afford it)

Ex-police Triumph with Metisse frame - stolen

I went to the Brighton rally a couple of weeks ago. There are some good pictures here:

(maybe one of the mods could reduce this to something more manageable)

Best loved car and the closest thing to a "classic" - Capri 1600GTXLR.

I recall my father being mad-keen on cars as a young man and last night spoke to my mother about it as I was sure Dad had some exotica in the past...

When my parents met, he was driving an Allard J2 powered by a V8 Cadillac engine. Dad loved the car, but mum was unimpressed. Dad parted with the car and his Vincent Black Lightning when they got married. In Iraq during the mid-50's he was driving a Rover of some sort, and when he returned to England in 1958, he had a Triumph which he bought from the guy he was replacing.

He had one of the very first Mini's which was what Mum learned to drive in, and when he was posted to Singapore he had a Triumph Mayflower for 6 months and then a Mercedes - which caused offence because his boss had been a POW!

Thereafter he kept to mundane, boring cars. It was only after my brother went into the motor trade that his interest was rekindled. My brother prepared Dodge Vipers for the company's press fleet and at times he has driven Ford GT40's and race prepared Aston Martins.

Me? I drive a Ford. I'm boring.

Best I can do is a '78 BMW r80/7 (Spoke wheeled version)

My dad had a Bradford van and a Standard van when I was a nipper. I think he had a Minx too.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

i amost had a few but money was tight ,a fully working and hooded messersmit (sp?)£20 and a tt version norton commando? my only real classic in my eyes was a zundapp bella compared to my other scooters (15 in total over the years) highly advanced,it still is my desktop picture! one day i will get another ,go her an identicle sister and a bambini sidecar for £30 rode it for 5 or 6 years untill the piston got a hole in (couldnt find another) and sold the pair for £800 for the plates ,a bargain indeed!,the owner also offered me a pair of isetta's (sp?) later to be highly sought after bubble cars for £100 :(

my only "rare" car was a mazda 323 GT twin carb (brought out to copy the golf) although when you buy a car suddenly you see them all over the place mine was the only one i have ever seen ,put my present golf in the shade with its extras despite being 4 years older" A reg" compared to my present D reg golf

Yes, I've heard that you French have a more relaxed attitude to mistresses than we Brits... :)
Ahh, but I'm not French, but I do love the French in general, and French women in particular. Now I know that I will have to be carefull how I say this AN being a family site etc, but its shall we say 'refreshing' demon to meet women who actually want to bonk and who enjoy bonking.

Over here there seems to be lots of it about, but the women have got it all and they are mostly keeping it to themselves.
