hmmm do you have a cam in my house (or have i posted about my braveness with steel and wire cutters) as on making up a few rigs i cleverly pulled a 2/0 into my finger and had to lie down a bit only last week (errr i think ,the trauma blanked my mind a bit )

Well, it wasn't censored, thankfully. I couldn't believe it when I saw what had happened. Nigger is offensive to black folk, Pikie is to gypsies. Why should one term be censored and not the other?

Peter - the censored word list is manually maintained by MD site admin. Like many forums, MD's only exists because of the goodwill and hard work of the owner, Dave, assisted by his moderators and a few others.

 

If you are really have an issue with the way he's got it set up, then I recommend you contact him directly.

A google of pikie turns up some interesting links. Most of which are fishing related. Never having heard the term before. I wouldn't have known it was a derogatory term.
