I wonder if anyone can help. I've been having a chat with a lady who is trying to trace some of her father's history and, if possible, old friends. His name is Gilbert Browne and the following is from the lady in question...

Dad was brought up on the cost of Ireland on a Market garden farm his father was Clarence Willam Browne and his mother was Iry  iles would be great if there were some family in Ireland we could contact.

 

The photos were taken by A. Nevison 10 birch way Tunbridge Wells think he must have been the press photographer on the trip

The coastal place wasn't In Mayo was It?? My wifes Father was from Mayo (westport I think) and his surname was Browne!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

A Lydon Lanas is a SUNY graduate and apparently registered with the alumni association. May or may not be the same person but you could go to Here for contact information and ask them.

 

And I think this may well be the same Mike Prichard.
