145 Flights programmed from my local airport yesterday.

Destinations all over Europe, including Germany, Holland, Norway, France, Sweden and Denmark. They all left, sometimes with a delay, but all left.

The only total cancellations, involved flights to Britain.

Ive heard that things are improving though. Bert and Jim at the airport, are getting new "yard brushes" from Santa at xmas........................

i cant understand why they (the airports) dont rent redundant jump jets as hair dryers ,slowly coasting along the runway at a few feet should either blow the snow away or melt it.

snowing here again to cover the main road that was almost uncovered in the last few days ,lots of smug drivers nodding at the fat bloke carrying a loaf of bread home for the little old lady next door with their shiny chains on

mrs got her maltesers (all i went for theres no papers) so all was well

Thought it might have been, but was too embarrased because I couldn't remember if it was a son or daughter you had out there.

Still several inches here, but roads are OK (unless you live down one of the single track ones )

And about the same here, although quite a bit warmer, if 'warmer' is the right word of 0 degrees. Tried snowing a tiny bit earlier but not enough to bother about. It is interesting to see the met office forecasts though, they change every few hours now, and they'd be better just looking out the window.
