Same to you Wurzel, not out today?

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

To be honest I don,t know why Alderney Mullet crashed, back in the 80s the shoals could be a mile long and over not anymore. It gets on my tits when people go on about netting has no effect on fish stocks, there is no scientific study on Mullet stock.Just because Mullet have been Seined netted in the past which was probaly sustainable they are now Gill netted ect which isn,t.I can only go on what I see and hear from other Mullet fishermen and there is definetely less Mullet around in the last few seasons.

Why does returning my fish to fight another day make me selfish or trying to preserve Mullet so future generations can enjoy this fine sporting fish ?

I joined the forum just to have my say and tired of all this polictal correctness crap so come on if you think your hard enought :P

Barry you seem to have some sort of hidden agenda about catch and release and I can see no problem with keeping a few fish

You keep moving the argument goal posts without anything to back your argument. First you complain about seine netting on a local beach, to be moved nationwide including the channel isles. Now you concede that it's gill netting that's doing the damage, unproven of course. It's all very well commenting regarding the shortages, however that argument is used by the do gooders to offer up restrictions to all without any evidence to back it up. I just bet yer in a years time and another years time netting on the cornwall beach will be carried out as it has for many years. How big must the shoels be to allow 15 tonne to be caught? BTW, it is the guys running christchurch who considered shortages of the mullet and bass stocks to sort out a worthless no take ban. That was on the back of a few so called anglers chucking trebbles at the mullet, can't see that being an unsustainable method to offer up a ban for all. Might be unsporting. To back that argument up, how come weymouth just down the coast has free and unrestricted mullet fishing and there's thousands of them.

I have no agenda either taking fish or letting them go, free to choose and long may it continue. I have been known to let turbot, brill and bass go over on alderny. However it's nice to stock up the freezer with fish, fresher that can be ever bought in the shops. fwiw, if i caught a mullet off the cornish coast, it would be straight for the pot. If i caught it within a muddy estuary, it would go back.

Have the mullet moved from alderny to cornwall?

Putting your fish back doesnt make you selfish, but wanting to stop people doing what they want, just because you don't like it, does. No one is trying to stop you from returning your mullet and, if it makes you happy, you carry on doing it. But, don't kid yourself that by doing so you are saving mulletkind and preserving anything for future generations. By the the time your grandchildren, or great grandchildren, are mullet fishing, those you put back will be long dead. And the few you do catch will contribute a very insignificant amount to future generations of mullet.

DRUNK DRIVERS WRECK LIVES.

Don't drink and drive.

Don't want to appear argumentative but shouldn't that be "fewer" disagreements?

Happy Christmas :P
