Wiggly Update 2.

Hello everyone.

Just got back from my daily visit to see MrWiggly, so a quick note to bring you up to date.

He sends his greetings to you all. But his prime message seems to be “Get me out of here !!”

He is still in isolation, but progress is good according to they that know. Wounds are healing well with no sign of infection apparent.

The traction also seems to be having the desired effect, but they would like to keep him “in situ” for a couple of more days to be sure.

Then he will be put on a general ward where the physio's can get at him. And I wish them the best of luck !! They will have a hard time keeping up with him, I'm sure.

They say he may be home, albeit back in the wheelchair, in 10 days or so. Then physio from then on.

I have known Danny for over 30 years, and I am amazed by the grit and determination that he still has. The man just does not know when to lie down !!

In reguard to your kind offer of cards. He is in a private hospital, and they seem to be very keen on contamination control. Which is not a bad thing ! Altho' they will accept the occasion gift coming in to patients, they seem to frown on such things as cards and balloons and that sort of thing. I have not seen any of the other patients surrounded by them.

If any of you wish to sent cards/insults/greetings can you please message me, and I will give you our home address to send them too. At least that way I may be able to sneak them in to show him, or they will be waiting for him when he gets home !!

Thank you all once again.

Susan (Mrs Wiggly)

Thanks for the update, Susan. At least there seems to be some light at the end of the tunnel now, which must be a relief for you both.

I like your terminology..." Then he will be put on a general ward where the physio's can get at him. And I wish them the best of luck !! They will have a hard time keeping up with him, I'm sure."

The mind boggles at the thought of the physios' rolling up their sleeves.

Thanks for the update.

Glad to hear he is on the mend, Susan. Doesn't sound like anything is going to be keeping him down for any extended amount of time. We look forward to his first post back on the forum.

Physios - I think we call them Physical Terrorists over here.

Tell the lad to work hard and mend as quickly as possible so he can fish at least a little before the cold of late Autumn sets in.

Thanks for keeping us updated Susie, good to hear the cantankerous sod is doing so good

Now tell him to stop skiving and get some decent fishing done or he's banned
