Showing solidarity with other anglers

Some of you also sea fish, but even if you don't here is a chance to show some solidarity with our sea-angling brethren.

There is a threat to access at Dungeness beach, one of the most iconic cod fishing venues in the world

There is a petition against it

Please sign the petition immediately - time is short.

No problem Dave. Signed.

I think its occasional trips to Dunge, sitting on the rock hard/freezing cold shingle and being show how sea fish are meant to be caught is why I've stuck to coarse fishing for so long.

Signed.

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Thanks Den.

Since trying to drum up support on this and another forum, the number of signatures has gone up from 347 to 517

Given the large number of "views" that is not nearly enough

Come on lads, and lasses, its not as if you are being asked to part with cash - just a few seconds clicking the mouse and then clicking once on the email you will receive.

Did it last night.

As famous fisherman John Gierach once said "I used to like fishing because I thought it had some larger significance. Now I like fishing because it's the one thing I can think of that probably doesn't."

Signed but you need more to sign it...Come on you lot ...I signed and as most know I don't even sea fish, but we have to stand together as anglers...although we are a bunch of crazy individuals and probably pretty selfish in our own ways...we are all anglers whatever our discipline or choice, if you want support with a problem how can you expect others to support you if you are not willing to support them.

So sign the petition for fellow anglers, you know its the only thing to do if you are a real angler and care about angling

Well now I am off for some fishing.

I'm having to use my sons computer, and despite a half dozen attempts, I still haven't managed to register my vote.

I think it's something to do with his anti virus programme, (Kaspersky).

As soon as I sort it out, rest assured my vote will be there Dave.

John.

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John
