We are propa hard in the South, just got my leave card signed for Friday afternoon and so it will now be 2 nights :clap2:

 

This time of the year, I need to do my session fishing when ever I get a chance. Work is a nightmare between March and early June and I never know if I will have to work at the weekend until Friday and days off a rare for me during this time and so this could be my first and last session for a while :( It's also the reason I did not put my name down for the Ribble Fish-In as I expect to be working that weekend. Once March comes around its early starts and late finishes for me for a few months with plenty of week end work.

 

I think 2 nights back to back should give me a chance of a river Zed if they are in the river I plan to fish.

I'm on a lot when I'm at work (some funny post times too :lol:).

Go fishing 3-4 times a week when it's warm but still try to maintain 1-2 times a week during the colder months but it does depend on actual conditions and shift pattern (it always looks soo good when I'm working!!!).

 

Out on the Kayak this afternoon, need to get accurate positions for the rod holders... and test my new seat! :)

This Years' Targets:- As many species by lure as possible. Preferably via Kayak. 15lb+ Pike on Lure...

Species Caught 2012- Pike, Perch.

Kayak Launches- Fresh-8 Salt- 0

Kayak Captures- 14 Pike, 1 Perch.

i got out 5 times last season ,luckily i get a free permit so the overall cost in real money was £4 a trip ,i had hoped my mrs got more enthusiastic with her new knee she got last june but it still swells and gives her pain sitting in a chair so i guess next season will be much the same.

now my son lives far up north "baby" sitting is non existent so leaving her with her epilepsy is risky for more than an hour or so

I got out for a bit of trotting yesterday, unfortunatly no monsters but I did catch a few average chub between 2 and 2 1/2lb. I took a couple of pic's of some....

 

 

Did a bit of trotting for chub yesterday me self - managed 9 in all including a new PB of 6lb 7oz ! :D

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales

They alone would have been the session of a season - I always reckon 10oz as the benchmark of a really good dace - yesterday I had nearly 2 dozen that size (or better!).
