Why spoil a perfectly nice looking pie with mashed swede.

 

There are tasy things you can do with swede but there aren't many of them. About the only one I can think of is as a component of a traditional Cornish pastie.

As a vegetable they're vile.

Instead of a roast today i'm having.

Home made sausage and tomato pie, with a hint of chilli, apple sauce, cracked black pepper all mixed in.

Accompanied with, " mushed beans" mashed spuds, my mrs is having home made chicken curried pie.

 

Must admit i do like mashed swede.

Better still, mashed sweet spuds, mmmm

Chunks of black pudding make it a bit special, finely chopped garlic, got some garlic raw chestbnut mushrooms doing for lunch also,
