That's you opinion, but there is little or no empirical evidence linking the playing violent video games to acts of real world violence.

that was one of the excuses some geezer from the gun club used today, so he's wrong as well then.

Free to choose apart from the ones where the trust poked their nose in. Common eel. tope. Bass and sea bream. All restricted.

New for 2016 TAT are the main instigators for the demise of the u k bass charter boat industry, where they went screaming off to parliament and for the first time assisting so called angling gurus set up bass take bans with the e u using rubbish exaggerated info collected by ices from anglers, they must be very proud.

Upgrade, the door has been closed with regards to anglers being linked to the e u superstate and the failed c f p. So TAT will no longer need to pay monies to the EAA anymore as that org is no longer relevant to the u k . Goodbye to the europeon anglers alliance and pathetic restrictions from the e u.

Angling is better than politics, ban politics from angling.

Consumer of bass. where is the evidence that the u k bass stock need angling trust protection. Why won't you work with your peers instead of castigating them. They have the answer.

Recipie's for mullet stew more than welcomed.

Angling sanitation trust and kent and sussex sea anglers org delete's and blocks rsa's alternative opinion on their face book site. Although they claim to rep all.

new for 2014. where is the evidence that the south coast bream stock need the angling trust? Your campaign has no evidence. Why won't you work with your peers, the inshore under tens? As opposed to alienating them? Angling trust failed big time re bait digging, even fish legal attempted to intervene and failed, all for what, nothing.

Looks like the sea angling reps have been coerced by the ifca's to compose sea angling strategy's that the ifca's at some stage will look at drafting into legislation to manage the rsa, because they like wasting tax payers money. That's without asking the rsa btw. You know who you are..

Interesting.

Due to consumer demand over the last three decades, most video games produced and sold today are violent. Today's sophisticated video games require players to pay constant attention to the game as compared to passively watching television or a movie. As active participants in the game's script players strongly identify with violent characters portrayed in violent video games. This identification with characters in video games increases a player's ability to learn and retain aggressive thoughts and behaviors they see portrayed in violent games (Anderson et. al.).

Further research has suggested that exposure to violent video games may increase angry and hostile feelings while interacting with peers, teachers, and adults (Anderson et. al.) Violent video game exposure may decrease compassionate feelings for others with whom they interact (Anderson, et al).

Violent Video Games Reduce Brain Response to Violence and Increase Aggressive Behavior, Study Suggests

May 26, 2011 — Scientists have known for years that playing violent video games causes players to become more aggressive. The findings of a new University of Missouri (MU) study provide one explanation for why this occurs: the brains of violent video game players become less responsive to violence, and this diminished brain response predicts an increase in aggression.

Video game controversies

Playing violent video games can increase aggressive thoughts, feelings and behavior, say researchers in the BBC News article, Video Games 'Increase Aggression.' They warn that violent video games may be more harmful than violent television or films because they are interactive, and require the player to identify with the aggressive character.

LOOK HERE

On June 7, 2003, an 18 year old boy, Devin Moore, killed 3 policemen in Fayette, Alabama after having played the video game Grand Theft Auto day and night for the preceding few months. His attorney, Jack Thompson, declared in his defense that he “was trained to do what he did” by Grand Theft Auto because the game is a murder simulator that teaches violence. Because of an oversight for regulation of video game ratings in the store Devin visited, he was able to purchase Grand Theft Auto. Thompson argues were it not for the video game training, his client, Devin Moore, would not have been able to carry out the triple homicide. Moore had been originally brought in that night for attempted theft of a car and seemed cooperative at first while having no prior arrests. However, he soon snapped in the jail, as he lunged at the officer, and shot him twice with his own gun, much like scenes from the Grand Theft Auto game. According to Thompson, “the video game industry gave him a cranial menu that popped up in the blink of an eye at the police station and that menu offered him the split second decision to kill the officers, shoot them in the head, and flee in a police car, just as the game trained him to do.”

In science, correlation doesn't imply causation. A relationship between virtual aggression and real-life aggression isn't necessarily one of cause and effect. Maybe bullies in real life also enjoy being bullies in virtual life, so they play violent video games?

there is a game called canis canem edit, your basically free to roam the school with fireworks, sling shots, improvised firework launchers(rocket launcher style) and all other mischievous instruments of torture and be a bully pretty much.

And we are led to believe that " games " like that have no effect on individuals. !

Andrew, i dont think they change people but i do believe they desensitise children. i watched a documentary regarding the subject and they tested 10 children for example. 10 played violent games, 10 played non violent games.

they then tested the childrens social skills the only 1 I remember was the interviewer knocking over a tub of pencils on purpose. of all the kids that played the non violent games almost all of them helped the interviewer to pick up the pencils from the floor and of mostly all the children who played the violent ones almost all of them never helped.

the kids that played the violent games never even flinched or seemed surprised that lots of pencils just got tossed on the floor, barely even raised an eyelid but the kids playing non violent games you could see they took 'notice' for want of a better word.

Kids are/will be effected by these games, some more than others.

All,

And you thought it was the GUNS! (that killed our kids).

""""National Rifle Association executive vice president Wayne LaPierre blamed Hollywood, video games and music, the courts and more on Friday for creating a culture of violence in the United States.""""

further - - - - - -

he says, """"“The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun is a good guy with a gun,” he said at a Washington press event""""".

Phone

To me, the implication is, if you are a "good guy" you better get a gun. We're certainly doing that! Gun sales at all time high!
