Every year we have ducks nest in our garden and they arrived today. The garden is walled and the ducks feel safe: when the ducklings are a few days old I will open the gate and the mother duck will take her ducklings across the green and into the moat of the hall.

We have bluetits (wink) as well: its an old building and a bit draughty.

The moat has some nice roach and fishes well in winter when the feeder stream is in flood and the moat is well coloured.

All you need is bread crumb and punch and you can have upto 40lb of fish on the whip or short pole.

If your ever in West Suffolk Chesters drop in and have a drink (home brew).

Here on the Suffolk coast it has poured with rain all day. The snow is now coming down hard, 3cm has layed in just over an hour.

To sum it up we have had four seasons in a week!
