Well, it's 2.2 degrees here and alternating between sleet and snow which is a bit of a shock after eight weeks in India !

I think this is just about the first year that I've got back before the daffodils are open and there's barely a green bud on the trees.

As I recall, the UK had 23 degrees this time last year.

the daffs have long gone here they opened christmas .lovely warm walk to the docs today tried to save time cutting through the bridle path but it was a sea of mud it took just as long to navigate off the path than it would have been walking the long route!

absolutely tons of wild garlic on the verges this year they obviasly like it damp

i have 4 winter tyres on and have been off work since end of nov!!!!!

Was giving serious thought to putting mine away until next winter - maybe I will leave them on just a little bit longer!!

Good idea Steve! We awakened to 8 inches of new snow today (Sunday 8am) and still snowing. Already they have declared the schools closed for Monday.

 

Let's see - - - - - - - - if my calculations are correct you will have a lovely April 1st.

Was out a cycle today it was quite pleasant :D sunny skies, no hard wind, I could have sat fishing most of the day comfortable to be honest but baited a few swims instead.

 

Next weeks looking to be 10c according to netweather.tv and I had a dream last night and it was 26c

 

Fingers crossed it climbs steadily. We might even get a day of summer this year.

It certainly felt like Spring over the easter bank holiday and I even got a touch of sun burn on my face but I was in Portugal. I had almost forgot how cold it has been here right up to the point the plain door opened at Heathrow on Monday night. That was a sharp reminder.

Must be, the real killer though is the wind. when its calm here you really can feel the rays from the sun.
