Proved Right (sadly)

And i suppose its got nowt to do with him being a filthy benefit scrounging control freak who loved to have power over defenseless women then ?

I listened to some people and a physiologist last night about him, it was all about him and his power and control over women, he wanted to be the virile he man who could impregnate any woman he wanted.

No, it's got nothing to do with being on benefits, it's because he is a nasty piece of work.

But the court heard 56-year-old Philpott had a criminal record and had tried to murder a previous girlfriend.

He was jailed for seven years in 1978 after repeatedly stabbing her and given a concurrent five-year sentence for stabbing her mother, causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

In 1991 he received a two-year conditional discharge for assault occasioning actual bodily harm after he headbutted a colleague.

And in 2010 he was given a police caution after slapping Mairead and dragging her outside by her hair.

Rape allegation

When Philpott set fire to his house in Victory Road, Derby, he was facing trial over a road rage incident in which he punched a motorist in the face.

He had admitted common assault in relation to the incident but denied dangerous driving.

Police have also confirmed that they intend to "thoroughly" investigate an allegation that Philpott raped a woman several years ago.

She made the allegation after the death of Philpott's children, but police decided to wait until the end of the manslaughter trial before investigating the complaint further.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

I'm not the ghoulish type, but I'd like to be there to see their faces when sentence is passed. Bastards.

I waited for the judge to pass sentence, now it adjourned until tomorrow, lets hope they get the maximum allowed then.

He's a horrible control freak. I wonder what he meant when he said " this is not over yet " when he left the court ?

You want to tell Osbourne and the Daily Mail that, Cory.

Disgusting use of the loss of 6 kids lives, just to try and make a political point.

Whatever you feel about the "benefits culture" argument, it's really worrying that people with such base morals and lack of respect for others can apparently exist alongside the law-abiding in our communities without having been brought to account earlier.

This piece of s**t survived under the radar of all official bodies and it's taken the horrific removal of the lives of 6 innocent children for our society to have done anything about him and those associated with him.

I despair of our society that we allow individuals to become this far removed from being an acceptable, respectful human being. This dangerous lunatic had for some time reverted to what was effectively a caveman lifestyle, driven by the need to spread his seed as far and as wide as possible; questions do need to be asked about the welfare state that funded this lifestyle, but maybe more importantly about the social services organisation in that area that should have been in a position to have shouted loudly.

It's a depressing conclusion to a horrifying case, made more so by the thought that he'll be out someday.

I've got to say that, for the most part, I agree with what you've said. The attitude toward protecting the rights of the individual allows the development of such deviant behaviour far beyond what is acceptable. There is no longer any direct way to deal with transgressors before they move into territory which seriously endangers those around them. Many, possessing an abundance of natural cunning, are completely aware of how much they can get away with without serious punishment and continue to do so relatively unchecked.

As for his sentence - let's hope some rougher justice than the courts can provide is meted to him on the inside.

He will just ask for section something or other and end up in a single cell with the warders serving him hand and foot ,you cant have these chaps mingling with the riff raff pick pockets and fare dodgers

When i err visited pentonville there was a complete floor for them out of sight to most prisoners ,mostly perves and pedos in there for there own protection

The last of the train robbers were in there at the time in a seperate wing for the long termers ,you get put on wings with the approx same prisoner as you it keeps the loons off the first timers and nutters off each other
