Don't know about the boozer Andy, never got a chance to go to one. It was in Seaburn, you've just jogged my memory.

I had to go to a hardware store in Sunderland, I remember parking near a bridge over the river, going to the store, then spending over an hour trying to find my way back to the van, in rush hour.

I'll tell you one of the things I miss most about not living in Scotland is the ice cream vans. No ice cream vans in England.

No I mean a van that goes past your door every half an hour or so that sells everything ice cream, crisps, sweets, tinned food, tea bags, bottles of brown sauce and ketchup, ciggies and baccy, bread, biscuits, cat food, dog food. They are about 25' long and usually have two or three people working in them.

Oh and they make ther own gelato, none of yer Mr Whippy or Walls crap.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.

Maybe not where you live but the blasted things won't shut up around here!

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

Ah, see what you mean. We have similar things in England, without wheels, we call them shops. English people have been trained to walk to them....keeps them healthier than the Scots...or is that another myth? :icecream:

Judging by the fat ass slags with shackles through their belly buttons that I see in Southampton then yes.

I'm 53 and have same 32" waist that I had when I was 21, how are you fixed?

  • 4 weeks later...

Andy,

Strangely I just ran across a home made "salmon rotissorie" with very a similar shape. Looks like you're missing a couple peices The three pour gizzmos are used to control air flow. Maybe that's the cooked mud.

Looks like Andrew was pretty close in the very beginning.
