are you MAD saddam hussain has already invaded 2 countries iran & kuwait and he is also trying to build nukes and he already has chemical & biological weapons witch he has used on his own people he also provides funds & facilites for bin ladin so the sooner that the uk & the us go in and eliminate him the better .

There isn't a shred of evidence that Iraq has any connection with Osama bin Laden, in fact 90% of the terrorists involved in the Sept 11th attack were Saudis.

The US has constantly moved the goalposts during this whole issue. The weapons inspectors were ordered in to find evidence of weapons, in all the time they have been there all they have found 11 EMPTY chemical warheads.

Now the weapons inpectors "inspecting" isn't good enough, now the Iraqi's have to "prove they haven't got them"! As stated by Chesters somewhere in this forum it's a lot easier to prove you have something than to prove you haven't. We have all been told (constantly) by Britain & the US that they have "evidence" the Iraqi's have these weapons, why aren't they telling the inspectors where to look? If they have the evidence then it shouldn't be too difficult to direct the inspectors to the stockpiles surely?

According to the US & Britain Iraq is in breach of the UN resolution for "not actively co-operating"! What the hell does that mean? From what I have seen Hans Blix has no real concerns about Iraqs co-operation.

Certainly Hans Blix has said that "some issues have not been resolved, some questions have not been answered" but then thats why he's there, to find the answers.

While I agree that Saddam isn't the nicest guy on earth & that, yes he's used wmd on his own people, I can't see that a war is justified. A lot of people are going to be maimed & die, many of them civilians who oppose Saddams regime! I read an article from a specialist in modern warfare who stated that should the fighting get to the "house to house" stage in Baghdad, then the US & Britain can expect 30% casualties! It will be nice to see the body bags unloaded, NOT!

After the Sept 11th attack the US were "going to kick bin Ladens butt", Their main priority was to capture him & destroy al queda, have they accomplished this? Nope, & they haven't got a clue where he is! al queda is still a threat & they don't know how to deal with it! Millions of dollars spent in Afghanistan with no real result... could the war against Saddam be a smokescreen to divert attention away from the failure to acccomplish what they set out to do? Of course it could.

Is this current venture about controlling oil supplies? Maybe! One things for certain, it's got sod all to do with weapons of mass destruction.

Sorry for the rant :)

adz i have a licence to fish so i am legal this year and i no that shooting herons is ilegal as i have asked the RSPB what the law says about these birds so i will not be SHOOTING them anymore and i bet that you would do anything to protect your prize fish and i only claim dole in the winter when i am not working and i totally agree with alan fawcett that if the sas can be sent in to take him out so that all the troops that are massing on the iraq border are not used than that would be a better solution baldrick open your eyes thers plenty of evidence that bin ladin and saddam hussain are linked :) .

Sorry mate but I've just watched Tony Blair (AKA Puppet) on ITN news (sky, 15:35 21/01/03) & he's just admitted that there are no links between Saddam & al queda!!!!! & that we should concentrate on the real issue, which is the weapons of mass destruction held by Saddam. Yeah right.

Don't believe everything you read in The Sun!!!!

when we kick saddam out and the country is divided up for the gallent winners i hope we get the bottom half ,once weve "cleansed" it of people just think of the great fishing trips we can have , america can then connect iraq up to the oil pipeline from russia thats just been completed and have it all :)

i really think we should be heavily investing in ethnic "bombs" find out what makes one race different from another and modify the "bomb" to infect all but the bomb dropper with a fatal disease a quick airburst at strategic positions around the world and problem over :) the difficulty would be the citizens who have interbred

and their ofspring would die slower :( once that step is done a "religeon " bomb could be invented to get rid of the rest :) then comes the "anti" bomb where the genetic makup of people who disagree with the leader of the country is exploited and they are exterminated , if we all think the same peace would reign :)

perhaps to keep the geneticists in employment bombs could be made to rid us of people with different eye colour , hair colour , dialect etc

my nephew Kai who lives with us when he is home, is at this very moment waiting to go, he is in logistics, if i could do anything to stop this happening i would.

i agree something needs to be done, and in my mind the only solution is for saddam to comply completly, after all he has nothing to hide right??

if this doesnt happen, then we will be at war, then god help us all.

hi all,

I say that if those few that oppose him(saddam&bin laden) have any sense then they would have already packed up and got to a safer place, cos the U.S are gonna go to war despite what the inspectors find, and i very much doubt that it has much bearing on the mass of oil there, thats just a bonus.

As for bin boy and sadman a couple of snipers is much cheaper. :D

Plus when britain gets into it,even if its ten years later iraq WILL get revenge by bombing us someway or another, its wierd that the IRA have bombed britain dozens of times and yet they practically go free

billy

besides ,hes(sadman)is no idiot and knows that because we have sent most of are troops over there who is gonna protect this place while the president sits and trys to decide what to do
