I have been chartering for many years now and this spring and now summer the weather has to be the worst i have ever known more north and east winds than i can ever remember its getting silly northerly gales are now forcast for the next few days with temperatures in single figures the outlook which many weather models are saying still more north or northeast winds for the next 2-3 weeks with well below parr temperatures this year upto now must be the worst on record for been so unsettled for so long its getting really crazy now.

We have 19 charterboats here in whitby and some havent moved this year its mad there is no saying this weather wont go right through june or it could turn into a cracking summer if thats the case it needs to get its act together.

well we had snow hail rain and gale force winds this morning. Now the sun is shining and out of the wind it is a good warm spring day. In the wind it's 7°C!

Bring on flaming June :-)

A whole seven degrees? Has high summer arrived early in Scotland this year?

Seems perfectly normal to me ,cold in winter slowly getting warmer then cooler for autumn

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Its far easier to curse the darkness than light one candle

It's not really summer here yet; my yardstick is Dragonflies, they should be in abundance by now as you can see from the emergence chart below, so far I've seen just three species, ideally they need a warm period to promote emergence and warm still days to fly, they won't fly if it's much below about 17°C and can't fly if its' much cooler than that.

The problem isn't what people don't know, it's what they know that just ain't so.
