Oddly none of the gentlemen on board needed to pee yesterday, obviously worried I'd whip out me camera!

There was a good breeze to disguise the strength of the sun. The tops of my arms are a bit frazzled despite the application of Factor 30.

Sandtiger and I also had a good showering with sea spray....he won the wet t-shirt competition.

The skipper suggested Mr. Onions might like a sprinkling of vinegar to 'go' with me in the evening.

I was the only eejit who caught nothing. :(

It didn't matter, I really enjoyed it, and what's a wee thing like me going to do about 25lbs of conger tugging away? I suspect had that happened chivalry would have squelched its way through the bilge pump, and 8 hairy - armed (sic) fishermen would have stood back and had a good laugh! :D

Help me unhook these, please.

1647 and 36 dec C here in Holland. Just off to an airconditioned office for a couple of hours work while mr and mrs Norrie see some sights, thats if I can wake him up after eating raw herring and half a pound of farmers cheese.

Out on a charter in the morning and again on Friday.

It seems today [Tuesday] could be the hottest July day on record in the UK, according to to BBC weather.

The hottest day ever was a smidgeon under, the magical and now lost to centigrade land, 100F at 99.70F. Again according to the BEEB.

So yes it is hot!!!!!!

I have to work tomorrow so I hope it cools down a bit.

1647  is that on the islamic calender? our village still thinks its 1946 but 1647 boy thats backward :D

advised a chap in woolies that the chiller box he was going to buy was useless in this heat , i showed him (written in VERY small writing) that the box only is capable of "chilling" to less than 18deg of the ambient temperature (and thats in ideal conditions) yes it chills but not to what normal people would consider chilled ie the same as a fridge . having had fitted a fan to a camper fridge to improve its cooling effect only a compressor type fridge can cope with anything over 20deg

Believe NOTHING anyones says or writes unless you witness it yourself and even then your eyes can deceive you

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

chesters1 - 1647 in this case is (depending on how time-literate you happen to be)

- 16:47 (written civilian vice military style)

- 4:47pm

- when Mickey's small hand is past the number 4 and his big hand is between 9 and 10
