Way to go Newt, looks like John is offering his services so you could could get a good servicing while you are here/there. I will drive you all round mainland europe but I do draw the line. :D

Good point Rich, yeah, we should have known better, after all the lectures I've been giving my 13 year old recently about talking to strangers on the net without really knowing their age and identity.

What do you suggest is the safest course of action :confused:

Well I should say the best way is to meet the (Nice old) gent!! I had the good fortune to do this last year!! The man is all that he sounds to be and then some!! He is actually (so I've been told!)A legend in his own lunchtime!! :D

But seriously folks a nicer person I yet have to meet in America!? Never met his wife though, often thought about that :D Probably didn't want showing up in front of her!!

Mr & Mrs Newt you have always got somewhere to stay whilst I have room to accommadate you and you can even have seperate rooms if you want!! Mrs Newt here and you in the local Hotel!!

would be nice to see you anyway Newt!! And I may be over your way again next year myself so make sure it aint when you are over here is all I ask!!

It is to be observed that 'angling' is the name given to fishing by people who can't fish.

If GOD had NOT meant us to go fishing, WHY did he give us arms then??

(If you can't help out someone in need then don't bother my old Dad always said! My grandma put it a LITTLE more, well different! It's like peeing yourself in a black pair of pants she said! It gives you a LOVELY warm feeling but no-one really notices!))

And I spent this AM fishing a new (to me) lake that holds a good population of catfish and especially some large blue cats. Fella I went with has had a 50 and a 46 this week along with the usual smaller ones. Today was only smaller though. Fishing in 40-60 feet of water with bait he'd caught with a cast net.

 

The landing we used is less than 30 minutes from my house so easy to get to. In fact, it's the lake just below the one we fished.

 

If you can manage, it looks like our trip east will be late August or early September for about 2 weeks so any other time should be fine.

All - this is looking better and better. The farmland pics could have been taken near here.

 

For any who worry about identity - if the Newt isn't fat with a gray beard, he ain't me. If Mr & Mrs don't total 110 years between them, it ain't us.

 

And to the Littles - I'm going to work on obtaining a dispensation from my sweetie to ogle you two. (if that term doesn't translate, ..... :D )
