Fed up with slow downloads and lost connections I think it's time I went onto broadband but which one ?

I am currently on Freeserve no ties on what is now wanadoo, do I need to change my provider if I , say, wanted to go on BT broadband ?

I spend maybee 2 hours each evening ebaying, emailing and being amused and enlightened by this forum.

I have been with Freeserve/Wanadoo for about 4 years with no problems.

Wanadoo have three new broadband options at 1mb, to suit all requirements, worth a look.

in most cases the Actual ADSL line you get (broadband) is exactly the same no matter which provider you go with, as they all buy the lines from BT Wholesale.

SO bearing that in mind I'd pick the ISP that gives you the package to go with it that most suits you, based on price and extras like email addresses webspace etc.

Depends on exactly what you want to use it for

If download limits are not an issue then you have plenty to choose from.

The ADSL guide Kendo recommended is a very good site

1 thing with Freedom2surf - you are given a static IP address which is something I most definitely want for obvious reasons!

Certain companies seem cheap, but then charge the earth for installation plus you have to buy their modem @ twice the price of a normal one. Some packages include a modem in the price such as BT
