Adam.. 8lb aint bad.. there are a lot of people out there that have never caught a Cod that size, nor are likely too.

Well now, we blokes need to tread a bit carefully here .

 

My wife, Norma, (5'3" and 118 lbs) has caught, tagged and released an Atlantic Blue Marlin.

 

- skipper's estimate "Well over 900 lbs" It was nearly nine feet long

 

That's more than twice the size of my biggest fish (White Sturgeon 400 lb)

 

...and over four times the size of my biggest UK fish (Common Skate 202 lb)

 

Pictures of all the above three fish have featured on past posts on AN

 

 

 

..and my ol' mate Chevin has had shark to over 1000 lbs

Adam, I will forgive your obvious inexperience as a poster and as a reader of others' posts.

 

If you had read my post a little more carefully, you might have realised

 

a. My wife, not I, caught the marlin

 

b. Pictures of all the fish mentioned already exist on AN.

 

...and as a new poster, it is not a good idea for you to ask for advice in some posts, and suggest in other posts that members are not telling the truth. Personally, I don't give a monkey's whether you believe me or not, but some folk are very sensitive about such things.
