Well the trip was excellent. The wind got a bit gusty at times but it stayed fine. For me the buzz was meeting everyone for the first time, even got a nice hug from Linda and Jan

Fishwise it could have been better. A dozen or so cod were boated and a couple of small ling and some pouting. Guess who got the first fish? Jan

Top angler of the day was Linda, she had the heaviest fish - a cod of about 3.5 lbs and also managed a double hook up

I thought I had blanked but on my very last drop of the day managed to tice a cod of about 2.5 lbs to my cocktail bait

Norrie was well chuffed with the new b and b he found in Amble. It is right next to the harbour and there is a pub opposite.

David W and Norrie were taking snaps so some pictures will hopefully follow.

What a nice bunch of folk you are as well

Norrie was talking about organising another Amble bash,I think July 22 was the possible date mentioned.

For me the fishing really came second, the good "crack" was the main thing Think I may well sign in for the next one

HGiya,

what can I say.. superb weekend.. great to put faces to names :D

The fishing was slow to say the least but the wind causing us to drift rather fast was probably the main cause of the lack of fish.

As for fish, this is roughly what everyone caught:

Linda (Orca): 4 Cod & 1 Pout.. also had the heaviest fish

myself: 5 Cod (just beat by Linda for the heaviest fish)

Chris: 3 Cod

Nick: 1 Cod, 1 Ling

David W: 1 coalie

Guy: 1 cod 1 pout

Jan: 1 cod

Norrie: 2 cod

Snatcher: 1 cod

The fishing may have been poor but the company more than made up for that :D
