Should We Have A Subscribers/Adult Forum

It's quite ironic that I've just come back from walking my dog, where I do most of my thinking, and had to remove a slightly saucy link that I actually found quite funny.

 

During my walk, I was wondering of we should have a forum for contributors only, the main reason being that to become a contributor, you have to pay a small fee by PayPal, thus showing that you are over 18.

 

Whilst I have absolutely no intention whatsoever of having a forum that would be full of filth, I had envisaged having a protected area where contributors could chat in smaller numbers, if they wanted, as well as having a separate 'joke' forum in that area, for the more risqué stuff.

 

At the moment, I'd be interested in your thoughts. Please be aware, though, that everything contained it it would have to be legal and above board - i.e. no slander, racism, threatening behaviour, attacks on other individuals, etc.

I have a password protected bit on my little forum and seems to be safe enough.

 

I like the idea as I have mentioned MANY times in the past.

 

 

 

 

But how do youprotect it from kids getting in?

 

 

I give passwords to those I know are old enough, may not act it though.

That's why I suggested contributors only, as you have to be 18 to use PayPal.

 

Website owners can't actually do much more than judge age by the ability to use a credit card, as I understand it.

Good idea but.......................there will be a few that slip in.

not 24hrs maybe 23hrs so we can go to the bog etc.

a good idea but ofcourse you will have to be a little more lenient than on the open forum ,pointlless having a locked one if its just the same as the open one

We couldn't possibly join such a forum, and it would make the more paranoid amongst us, feel even more insecure, and imagine you lot talking about us behind 'closed doors'.

So pretty much the same rules that NFC has now.

So long as the site remains as well moderated as it is now, I don't think we needa seperate ringfenced forum.

 

Anyway, why is it that membership is always mentioned when I'm out of the country ?

The idea of a members forum is more to let the more adult stuff remain, for those that want to view it. Nothing more.
