Well I dont really know what to say other than a big thankyou to all those who have sent their best, sent cards and visited me in hospital. The old boy in the bed next to me was also a fisherman and said it was like a whose who of angling that visited!Well even though I got let home a week ago Ive only just felt up to going on line and catching up.Still very weak and with a bad cough.Still not sure exactly what was/is wrong with me but feeling much better.Got to go back for more scans in a few weeks as something was showing on my lung scans that they are not sure about.Just trying to get enough strength back to get out at Wingham! Just my luck to get my ticket this year and then this!!Well I dont really know what to say other than a big thankyou to all those who have sent their best, sent cards and visited me in hospital. Take care

Angling is more than just catching fish, if it wasn't it would just be called 'catching'......... John

After a certain age, if you don't wake up aching in every joint, you are probably dead.

Hi Budgie,

Good to see you back posting and i hope you feel better each day, i hope very much to see you at Wingham.

Fishing seems to be my favorite form of loafing.

"Even a bad day of fishing is better than a good day of work."

I know the joy of fishes in the river through my own joy, as I go walking along the same river.

What do you think if the float does not dip, try again I think.
