Ken,

TRUE

Hate crimes and his style of lying and uncivilized criminal behavioUr is out pacing his numbers.

The global political map today is markedly different from 1945. At the end of World War II, there were 51 original member states in the United Nations. Today there are 193 nations. The British Empire and Soviet Union have been consigned to the dustbins of history.

The United  States at risk of internal and external  conflict, we are likely to collapse since we now suffer from authoritarian leaders and extractive institutions that fail to provide social, economic, and political opportunities to their citizens.  IMO we may soon be joining you.

Your post has rather gleeful timing  - WHAT'S YOUR POINT?

My only "point" is to counter the media narrative that Paul so gleefully and sheepishly parrots.

What do you mean by "authoritarian"?

Trump's administration created jobs by de-regulation, not centralisation.

Ken,

You know the definition of  "authoritarian". Choleric people like yourself are very savvy, analytical, and logical. You have the added knack of adding a smiggin of vitriol and I suspect you  aren’t necessarily a good companion or particularly friendly. However, I like your your perspective on AN much of the time.

As a certified snowflake I choose to maintain my composure for you must belong the subset of people who view “strongman” leaders – those who are pushy, manipulative, conceited, and selfish – as ideal leaders to follow.

The one point I will venture to correct - - - Obama job gains 7.9 million - - - Trump job gains 6.7 million  (both 35 month period). Of course one can make numbers lie. Perhaps we could use March 2020 against Obama's final March in office

"I don’t take responsibility at all,” said President Donald Trump in the Rose Garden on March 13. Those words will probably end up as the epitaph of his presidency, the single sentence that sums it all up.

IT DOES NOT SURPRISE ME YOU ADMIRE TRUMP - AND THAT'S OK

My initial opinion of Trump was that in a two horse race, he was the least worst option.
He's a cock. but he's not nearly as bad as the press would have people believe and he is delivering.

Still don't see any evidence of authoritarianism.

Oh: And on a "Big 5" personality test, the two significant deviations from the mean are a low score for "agreeableness" and a high level of emotional stability which a rather cynical mate once summed up by saying that I put people's noses out of joint and it doesn't bother me in the slightest.

Ken,

I agree with your first statement, we chose between a nag and Trump. Presumably it is likely I would agree with your cynical mate.

This will not turn into a Q&A session. I rely a great deal on print journalism. I selected the following so you might get the tenor of my position
