Well I've proved again how little I know about the 'beautiful game'.

No way, not me, nada - I wouldn't say chit with a mouthful. But the ice is broken. The loss of the football game must have been extremely traumatic. 60 posts went up on BREXIT but nary a one on the loss.

 

England appeared to be in some sort of LaLa land. They didn't seem to keep their focus on their own job and play. Did a single player look as though they were having "fun"? In a disjointed fashion they did not want to "be the one". I thought it was obvious by the number of times they were second to the ball and quickly gave ground on defense as though they had some sort of inner fear. It seemed more like a "fear of success" than failure.

 

I abhor those of your fan that insist on being slightly more than rowdy..I though the team itself represented England in fine fashion. Just to much mental pressure I think.

How many will be sacked for not fullfilling their job description?

I saw it as a triumph of experience over enthusiasm. It took some guts to field such a relatively young and inexperienced side in the tournament. Most players peak in their late 20s, so if they can keep most of this lot together, then they could be a very good side in about 4 years time.

They did better than any realistic expectations, disregarding all the media hype that always surrounds any British national team.

You may well be right. I really didn't take player age into consideration. The boys did fine to my thinking

In American Football we call playing up and down the middle of the "pitch" North and South. Explain please why England is playing East and West. From the sidelines with crossing passes. It looks like it is their only attack point. BEL is now cheating that way on defense. MIDDLE of the field boys - look at the MIDDLE and go North and South for a change.
