Could always get a tin of pilchards and use the oil from the tin. A real bargain as you get to have pilchards on toast too. My all time favourite geoof juub.

oil floats unless you add an emulifyer, just putting lots of chemicals in water best left.

In some circumstances fish oils can be very useful. They are useful for whiting fishing and for float fishing for makeral. So I guess no harm in giving them a try.

I think that when an angler catches a fish using bait thats been inpregnated with pilchard oil, he probably would have caught it with normal bait any how.

The simple fact that oil floats meens that as soon as the bait enters the water the oil starts to leave the bait and travel to the surface.
