A few fish cakes? I guess our math is different on both sides of the pond also, huh?

Guys like you should spend your time more wisely... like writing the longline companies that kill hundreds of fish like this everyday.

I think you missed the point of my post, huh?

And no, guys like me are well entitled to express our personal opinions, especially as the original poster posted the pic on, this, a UK forum!

And as I've already stated, I've no problem with someone keeping some of their catch but does anyone really need all that amount of fish? Or was it simply killed so that the little guy could look good standing beside a big, dead fish?

but really that black grouper looks more like a nassau grouper than it does Lenny Henry.

You sit on ice for a few hours and then tell me you still look like what you did before going in 'the box'! LOL! Definitely a black my friend. If it were a Nassau you'd see me in handcuffs... but then again, you can only see one of my hands... Hmmm... LOL! LOL!

I love it that these mugs are spending so much of their time 'educating' us.

I swear one of them soon is going to have to start writing his posts in chapters :)

Can I ask you a personal question? And I'm being very serious so please be frank. I mean no disrespect to you, but what species do you fish for? Do you fish from land or from a boat? Fresh or saltwater? I truly want to understand where all this negative feedback comes from.

I understand if someone does not have experience with this kind of fishing that it is hard to make an educated comment or give relevant feedback. Your answers to the above will make me better understand your position.

Should we release fish mortally weak to feed the sharks, or is that prime meat better off feeding those who enjoy it?

What you guys apparently don't understand is that fish of that size, when unexpectedlycaught on fairly light 50-80 lb gear, have a hard time reviving after a long fight. The lactic acid build-up in the muscles somewhat 'parylizes' the fish, thus making its recovery after a hard battle almost impossible.

We carry quite the arsenal as well. FOR ALL THOSE DAMN SHARKS!

Hey Mike,

These guys are something else, huh? I've never in my life seen such a fuss like they're making about us! Do you think the fishing in the UK is so bad that they all have to release the one fish they have left so others can catch it? Hmmmm... think I'm on to something here?
