We did have a freezer catch fire ,we had it stored in a garage for 10 months ,on plugging it in we smelt burning and looked down the back and saw flames.

To put it out we didnt pack a bag then tell the neighbours we unplugged it!

Turns out the slow start mech on the motor had shorted with damp ,still running to this day ,we just bought a new module

Not sure what could explode? The refrigerant is flammable in some but it boils anyway in normal running even a leak wont do much unless its catastrophic next to an open flame i presume?

Beko fridges caught fire when a switch melts but fire is not an explosion and in their cases unplugging not packing will stop it

Will we ever know ? Will the fridge be an excuse as not to offend moslems cooking chips at night when most are asleep ,was it simply i dont like this tower i will pack a bag and do a thing well known in immigration circles? Or many other equally unproven theories sure to be on the lips or keypads at the moment

Local government, yes, even though May should have got her arse there a lot sooner than she did and met with the survivors. All to easy to point a finger at whichever party is in power and start saying "It's all your fault" when in fact the local council should shoulder most of the blame, even though May has apologised for the 'State failures' in this matter.

Now wondering what revelations Private Eye will discover about Kensington and Chelsea Council....

Nobody said it was all the governments fault John but as I have just watched Teresa May in the house saying local and national level failed very badly now If that ain't an admission of guilt I don't know what is. Edited by big_cod
