OOOOPS!!! We have clearly left this too late despite your early warning, Spasor. :(

 

Never mind, Mick and I may be able to come along to wave you off and welcome you home and fill in the in-between hours with a little 'dangle' somewhere. 'Twould be lovely to see you and Davey again.

If it had been a 3 day trip Mick could have taken my place while we had a little dangle somewhere :D

 

Paul, as much as I would love to go it is just not possible :( I hope to be going up to Norrie and then Davey but on top of that is the possibility of going to visit Newt for a few days :)

Jersey also becons (business) :D as does Wales :)

 

I hope the weather is kind to you and the landlady of the pub kinder still :D

Paul, there was a picture of the steamer that took post to the Channel Islands in the 1800's in the Echo this week. It's name was Flamer!

Colin Penny learned the ropes by crewing for Sam Fowler, who had the first `Flamer` charter boat. I`m not sure, but I think Sam named the boat after the old mail ship?

I`ll have to ask Colin re the naming of the original Flamer.
