Deep Blue [BBC 2]

if your reffering to that mish mash program ,using loads of re edited snapshots of stock footage from previous mish mashes (every living thing by now must have several miles of tape on them ,string the cuts together for yet another "awesome" prog)

badly cut and digitally enhanced bits (especially the deep ocean creatures) a sprinkling of digital effects using pretend subs and distant veiws of ocean tenches etc .

not a bad program or should i say several programs re-edited .

just shows the awsome fact that just out of veiw far greater things happen pity its just costly out takes of other costly mish mashes.

reminded me of the disney "wild life" progs where billy (or whatever) the "wild" something or other went through several staged scenes and always ended up "billy ,was lost ,hungry frightened and alone etc" well except for his handler ,a full camera crew ,back room boys and a stage manager

rather than congrats to the BBC (who no doupt spent millions on it) rather to the editing and splicers who yet again made another killing (monetry wise) showing us bit's weve already seen but with a new title sequence

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

Yes it's annoying to see easilly recognisable clips from "The Blue Planet" being rehashed as new material but it still makes good viweing.

It's also MUCH, MUCH better than that dumbed down wildlife murder mystery piece of sh1+e that David Attenborough has got himself involved with recently. He may be old now, but ut's sad to see him sink this low.

Peggy and I thoroughly enjoyed it. We saw it at a B&B after a stressful week rushing to get ready for a glass fair. The superb photography together with the relative lack of commentry plus the excellent and fitting music made it very relaxing. No matter that we'd seen a lot of the footage before, we found it one of the best wildlife programs we'd ever watched!

Thank you, BBC2.

I take it you did not enjoy it Chester :D

As I have spent many years overseas a lot of it was very knew to me. The Killer Whales chasing down that whale calf was unbelievable and for me first time veiwing. Had seen them hunting the sea lions before.

But if you are going to have repeats these beat all of the other rubbish by miles.

I fish, I catches a few, I lose a few, BUT I enjoys. Anglers Trust PM
