It's probably too late to mention this because You've already corresponded with people but are you sure it's an MMI scanner ?

Sounds as if it's an MRI scanner to me.

I may be wrong but it helps to use the right acronym if the recipient is a little hard of thinking.

guildford in effect has 2 M.R.I. scanners ,both privatly owned ,the first one i think was getting to be a little expensive for the NHS so another company? installed theirs seeing no doupt a bit of filthy lucre on the cards :(

the first one was used for my mrs for a brain scan strangly enought the company that owns the scanner not only charges for its use but also to see the results  her consultant has NEVER seen the scans nor her doctor so it seems a third party looks at them and decides what is wrong with you

it is also The Royal Surrey`s principle that it refuses to issue both notes and xrays etc to ANY other hospital or doctor which pees off both Farnham Hosp and Frimley Park ,i had to redo a test taken at Guildford because they refused to tell MY consultant the results so i`v had at least enough iodine to become seaweed

None of this "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" crap it just means i have at least two enemies!

There is only one opinion i listen to ,its mine and its ALWAYS right even when its wrong

BP, I know you've contacted the local press, but does that include the local radio as well? Do they have a phone-in you can use....?

Of course, gorillas are much more important than humans, everyone knows that

Thinking of phoning some of those numbers myself and registering my disgust.

Probably at 1.00pm tomorrow (Monday) - wouldn't it be a coincidence if others did that at about the same time.... :)

My best wishes BP

I know those at work will do this because we work very closley with charities and do a lot of charity work, also children are involved, bad enough when its anyone but if its a child its even more disgusting

Officially, as a Moderator, I cannot condone an organised campaign like this. I merely said (unofficially) that it would be a coincidence if others did the same as I planned, at the same time (1.00pm). To suggest otherwise (officially) could involve AnglersNet and Elton in legal proceedings, and I will never do that.

However, what you choose to do in your own time (when not on here, and especially at 1.00pm) is your own business :D

Take care :)

This is appalling. I hope that when young Jack is eventually scanned the news is good. And I hope you get this strange policy on use of the scanner sorted.

Some people seem to forget that they are elected or appointed to look after everyone, not just who they choose. We, the taxpayer ultimately pay for the NHS and so they are effectively working for us.

Good luck, Vince. It'll be interested to know the outcome. Hopefully the media spotlight will do some good. Best of luck on the results too, and hope your little one is OK.
