Police have just arrested a bloke in Birmingham, and two suitcases are being examined by explosives experts, according to C5 news.

He was being followed and when he ran into the station and jumped the barrier he was challenged and followed. Being dressed in heavy long clothing the police had every right to suspect a bomb.

 

Begining to look like the guy they shot at Stockwell wasn't a bomber...had a feeling he might not be. Make way for the waves.

 

The only waves should be amongst those who set out to kill innocent people, at least now they know exactly where they stand and what to expect.

 

The do good brigade seem very quiet, let's hope they have the good sense to remain so.

Living in the cities must be frightening at the mo. We are definately under attack. Lets hope it doesnt go on too long.

No doubt there will be an outcry over the shooting but if you hear "Stop. Armed police" you bl00dy well stop. If you don't, you should expect deadly force to be bought to bear.

That applies twice over in the current situation.

If he was deaf, it's unlikely that he would have paniced after recieving the warning.

It may transpire that he was mentally ill or that he was a common or garden criminal of some discription who made a catastrophic error by reacting the way he did. No doubt the endless enquiries will get to the bottom of things eventually.

 

Meanwhile the bloke who caused chaos in Birmingham last night has been released without charge. Either he was acting the pr4t or people are getting really jumpy on public transport.

 

I have heared the back story to the evacuation of Birminghams city centre the other week but as it hasn't (to the best of my knowledge) been made public yet, I'll hold off posting any details until things calm down a little. Sufice to say that if what I hear is true, I agree that the evacuation was appropriate.
