Had about 2 inches over night last night and blizzards here all day (some complete whiteouts)

Hardly any left now.

At the start of last week when we got the first lot I built three snowmen.

All three are still just about standing but one has lost its head!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Has now snowed some more here in Sussex - hardly anyone moving except a local delivery hero who staggered though the snow to bring us half a pig.

Roast pork tomorrow, just as I was wondering if I needed to shoot a squirrel or two for lunch :D

It's been snowing non-stop for 2½hours in East Kent, at a rate of about an inch an hour. The radar picture though says it should soon be over.

Amazingly, Wingham still isn't frozen. However, with more snow forecast over the weekend, and with Wingham being on the other side of the Noth Downs to me, I'll be staying put!

Are other waters frozen?

Mind you, schools do close at the drop of a hat, at great inconvenience to parents. When Peggy was Head Teacher she never closed for snow.

The times have changed now Steve. Many parents think of schools as a childminding service so that they can get to work. It isn't. In these days increased health and safety legislation and of the litigation culture etc. the schools first priority is to the safety of the children and if that means that emergency services etc cannot safely or easily get to a school, should the need arise, it has to shut.
