They're all nice! As Mr Plumb, I must admit to lking the aerial type top right. Can I ask what it is?

The good news is the fishery is in good condition with a tinge of colour and fining down nicely and has produced all week

Well well, perhaps one of us may see one of those mythical silver ghosts after all...

To be honest, ANY roach would do! Three years running and I still haven't even caught a tiddler! However, I have become something of an expert at decieving and skillfully landing chalk stream minnows, micro-grayling and suicidal broon troot :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

The aerial type reel is a Fred Crouch Trotter, but I had it anodised before he assembled it for me. They are usually painted.

The silver reel was just to see how light I could make the spool. It looks as though it will collapse as soon as I get a fish on, but it is surprisingly tough( I guess I'll find out if a manage to hook one of those angry Browns on Sunday). I got the weight of the reel down to around 180grms.

Both are 3.3/4 in Diameter.

You could probably reduce that further if you machined out some of the back plate, like the Loop Fly reels.

Good luck to everyone tomorrow - sounds like the beats are fishing. Hopefully, someone will connect with one of the mythical giant roach.

Will be looking forward to the reports on here from tomorow teatime!
