The weather's looking OK - no significant rain forecast for the next couple of weeks, so at least it won't be a repeat of last year's grueller!

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

Just looked at met forcast and like you say no bad rain .

 

They say temperatures are gonna be a bit down but winds are likely to be calm with the settled weather which is looking good , nothing worse than a cold gale

well ,too be a bit honest ,i've been a bit worried what with the rising cost of fuel ,making this trip ever more expensive.i've been putting in some overtime and tried not too spend anything ( buying any more centrepins :whistling: etc ) on things i don't need ,but its still tight as i've had too leave £50 in my bank for sky .But i've just booked in at eastleigh ,travel lodge fopr saturday night ,got saver day rate so thats saved me a few quid .

 

i had a dodgy moment this week when i thought i might even have too sell a centrepin (my kennet ,or origanal stanton :bye2: ,but all looks like a few things are comming together just in time ,I get payed tomorrow and after my usual deductions should have £70 spare .And i should with luck have sold a laptop (secondhand one i'd refurbished) and i'm just finishing of a tower system i've been upgrading / refurbishing and if i can sell that then maybe able too have a sunday lunch someware on the way home with whats left over

 

all in all its looking good ,i'm bringing just a few rods ( 2 for centrepins & 2 for closed faced reels just in case ) and a selection of centrepins and my two abu 507's (and possibly my 706) i might bring my kelly kettle as well .ohh just thought ,i think i'll bring my Jw avon/quiver and a mitchell just in case i come under the influence of the darkside ,and decide to ledger.

 

i'm really looking forwards too this as i'm a itching virgin .

Good point Steve, it’s easy for us more local folk to forget how much time and money it can cost for more distant AN’ers to get to fish-ins located in the south.

 

Budgie’s mentioned it in the past but we really should arrange more events north of Watford.

Rusty i have told you before its dangerous going above Watford if your a southerner :D ,Joking aside it would be good to try farther ooop north for one Steve

We are not putting it back it is a lump now put that curry down and go and get the scales
