Just trying to help fellow anglers, is'nt that what this forum is all about?

Yes I might be plugging my site, but i'm very proud of my site, it has taken me a lot of work as anyone that has built a large site will know, yourself included.

Sorry about it becoming tedious but all i'm doing is trying to help.

Well try answering a few of the queries, instead of the usual "visit my site" routine. I think the Oxfordshire one took the biscuit the other day - you don't even have Oxfordshire listed in your fisheries section

I have said before, a thousand times, I have no objection to contributors adding url's to their posts, but I will not have my hard work just used as an advertisement board. Imagine if the 9,860,000 fishing sites listed on Google did the same. Then imagine if they did that to your site.

Follow-ups to email, please.

Tight lines,

Elton

I live in Tetney which is about 8 miles south of grimsby.

I do like small river fishing especially one with fast runs that run into slow glides.

I understand the ancolme is a slowish paced river but i am willing to give it a go so any spots that you reccomend will be tried.

I will need info on permits/ best methods e.t.c but most of all the best areas.

Do you know of any websites with info and pics of the ancolme.

I also like to fish for tench rather than carp and find that lakes and ponds with carp in tend to give poor tench fishing as the carp take over and the tench seem underweight .

so any ponds with big shoals of tench would be nice.

Regards,

Tyke.

I know a few good (one very good) tench waters but they are around the scunthorpe area, the best one is a club water which i have just joined which anyone can join for 17 quid which gives you the lake/pond plus a stretch on the trent!!!! Went down to the pond/lake the other day and fished feeder and had two tench, 5 and half pund and about 2-3 pounds, lost a big one and missed a few bites on corn because of taking my mate fishing for the first time, also a guy brought a fish to my peg for me to weigh, 9lb 5oz bream!!!! the water is what i would describe as a small lake or large pond, it would be a fair drive for you and i'm sure you could probably find somthing similar closer to home but if not then let me know!!

I am looking for good day ticket waters in a 30 mile radius around grimsby.

I am also interested in some small river fishing in this area and need info on good spots on the river steeping and bain, plus any other small rivers/dykes e.t.c

I love the wandering approach and also lure fishing for perch/pike.

Have fished a small dyke off the A16 that leads down to tetney golf course but that was just before the season ended and am eagerly awaiting the 16th of june to have another crack.

I did hear reports of escaped trout in this dyke.

The name escapes me for the moment but i do know it leads down to tetney lock.

The Dyke is actually a beck called Waithe beck and ive had Dace, chub, perch, rudd, brown trout and eels from this venue.

Makes a nice change from fishing holes in the ground.

I think this must rank as the longest time ever taken for someone to reply to his own post ;)
