Oh I see. Interesting that you don't write "I'm an angler who also shoots.." You put shooting first. Your agenda is plain. You're a shooter first and foremost, who also goes fishing.

For information, I go shooting about 10 times a year, I go fishing about 3 times a week. There was no significance in the order of the words.

The paranoia displayed by some of the contributors (graham X)in unbelievable. As a retired nurse who has worked with the mentally ill I have looked after patients with a more balanced outlook than this. I have no hidden agenda and do not feel like continuing this obviously futile argument. If Graham X would like to continue it he can contact me on dave@learnforlife.fsnet.co.uk I can maybe make some suggestions re medication!

Oh but there is. It's not "Fishing, shooting, and hunting" is it? You didn't write: "Fishing and shooting", did you?

 

As regards your medication tips, I say put your own house in order first..

Dave, like many who object to fox-hunting with dogs, it is not so much the killing, but the ritual and pagentary, but mainly the ethos that gripes me.

 

Now the farmer will be free to trap, not having to look after the hunters' interests. I have no problem with that!

I'm kinda curious about how the 'hunters' always assume that because we disagree with fox hunting, we know nothing about it.

I seem to remember you making remarks about foxes being ripped to pieces whilst still alive,(possibly on another thread) that sort of suggests you don,t know much about it.

I am not here to support hunting, I have no axe to grind. I made a remark about peters class prejudice which he has explained to me quite clearly. Peter. I totally understand and agree with your dislike of the pageantry surrounding hunting and have always thought that they were their own worst enemy in that regard

Why I was attacked by Graham and accused of having hidden agendas is beyond me, and then to be accused of making my excuses and leaving is moronic in the extreme.

I am sorry that I have taken a while to respond to you Graham, I was doing something more interesting and worthwile - scratching my backside!
