Wingham Fish-In - Bookings are now being taken

Bookings are now closed.

Not surprisingly I'm way oversubscribed and so I'm afraid some of those who've been before won't be able to fish this year. :(

The good news however is that, apart from syndicate members, all those who are missing out will get priority next year over anyone who's been before. In practice this means that they're almost guaranteed a place! :)

Those missing out are:

Richard Capper

Anderoo

Tincatinca

Babelfish

JK

Seph

Tigger

Miroku

Lyn

Liam

Sorry to disappoint you, but hopefully we'll see you next year.

All those who've got a place should shortly have confirmation via e-mail. Please note though if you cancel this year (say because of a bad weather forecast) you can't then expect to be guaranteed a place next year.

Oh no! Likewise I am happy to come down to help out...

Rich

Yes please!

I was well oversubscribed in 2008, but surprisingly despite good catches not in 2009 or 2010 when I just about fitted everyone in.

No probs, I'll give you a call to sort out BBQs etc. :)

And those who were seen dancing were thought to be insane by those who could not hear the music

On that subject, I won't be able to attend. My children want to make up for some lost time, and we're in Paris for the weekend.

This is a signature, there are many signatures like it but this one is mine

What a shame, Alan.

Will you still be down next week as we spoke about?

Well, I've had the pleasure of fishing three times now at Wingham so I think it's time some others had a turn. Good luck to all attending and I look forward to the catch reports !

It had to happen one day, I'm just surprised it's taken so long! Steve let me know if you'd like me to come along and help out with swim advice, etc.

I'd love a bit of advice from a Wingham regular! might even be a bacon buttie in it for you :)

More than happy to help Mat, hopefully you'll be in a swim I know well but even if not I can have a go!

Likewise! I will bring my spod and marker gear. I am very happy to help anyone who would like any pointers.

As has been mentioned alot it is a good idea to fish within your comfort zone, you are likely to do better fishing a way you are confident and can do well than trying to do something completely new. That said, location is very very important and spending time finding those all important hotspots will really pay off! I know a few swims very well and will be happy to point people in the right direction!

I just had a quick peek at the forecast, and it's currently looking very good :) Warm days, mainly SW/S winds.

Plus the Perch are starting to show, so a good chance for a few of them being caught. So don't forget the maggots and worms.
