Dr. Alice Roberts....just to be different!

And Vagabond if she couldn't make it.....

Eating wild caught fish is good for my health, reduces food miles and keeps me fit trying to catch them........it's my choice to do it, not yours to stop me!

If they were still alive, Peter Stone or Richard Walker.

Otherwise, Tony Miles or Terry Lampard.

They'd do for me too!

I very nearly got Stoney to come down to fish for perch in Kent but his time sadly ran out before he could make it. I did visit him a few times at his house at Wolvercote and bumped into him on the talk circuit from time to time.

He, and in particular Dick Walker, were my heroes as a young man and were responsible for my becoming a specimen hunter in the first place. Unfortunately the one letter I got from Walker went missing when I got divorced.

Terry Lampard I met some 30 years ago when I first joined the Chub Study Group. Even then he was an exceptional angler.

I love Tony Miles' writing and have learned an awful lot from it, right from his early articles in Angling magazine. Although I've spoken to Tony on quite a number of occasions I've never had the privelege of fishing with him.

But if I could fish with anyone it would be my late father. I managed to help him catch his first pike shortly before he died and i don't believe I saw him more excited.

if was another angler then bob roberts. He seems like he would be interesting to listen to. If its a non-angler then it would have be Pixie Lott. Then the fish might not be the only form of entertainment. ;)

Jakub Vagner for me.

However, I have met a few very good people lately and it is always a pleasure to fish with someone who you get along with so well. Time flies and you still have fun, even if you blank.

So, non-celebs (lunchbreak legends :P)- NorfolkDipper, John Weddup, Steve Burke, Budgie, Dales, Anderoo, Rich and all the other guys I met @ Wingham and the Fen fish-in last year. Hope to meet a few more this year too. You've been warned!

Of the departed...my Dad, of the living and who are angling personalities, Mick Brown, I like his honest easy style, and he's a piker foremost.
