Anglers' Net Centrepin

Andrew Cowler (Jigotai) has now finalised the design of the Anglers' Net centrepin reel and his company have prepared the parts needed to make this special reel.

Rather than bang on about it here, or have you rake over all the old threads regarding it, it's probably best if I point you to Chris Plumb's review. Although a long-standing member of Anglers' Net, Chris is extremely fair in his reviews and has probably used as many centrepins as anyone else I can think of:

http://www.anglersnet.co.uk/Tackle-And-Bai..._centrepin.html

The cost of this reel is £130, plus £6.99 courier delivery to UK mainland addresses.

Being handmade in the UK, only a few are available at a time, so please send me a PM if you would like one.

I have a list of people here who expressed an interest. If I don't get around to contacting you in the next day or so, and assuming you still want one, please PM me.

Thanks to Andrew and all of those who contributed to making this reel. It's certainly something I'd never have had the confidence to do myself - getting a few t-shirts done was hard enough! Mind you, having a company that makes precision parts for motorsport companies did give Andrew a slight advantage over most of us..... :D

A few years ago now I had to give up work due to my health. It took some time for the good old DWP to sort out my mortgage payments.Due to this and a lot of missed time prior to having to "retire" I was behind in my mortgage.Reluctantly I had to sell my beloved centrepins. These included a classic Match Ariel through to a modern Dave Swallow.I kept my old Leeds to fish with as it was the least valuable but useable reel.I had promised myself one of the Okuma pins as "compensation" but never got round to it.Im so glad! as in the mean time Andy brought out the first of his pins.Just as good if not better than anything I had to sell and a pleasure to own.

Dont understand why anyone would want to buy/use any other to be honest.

Oh by the way a bit of a confession! Im always taking the mick out of those who sit spinning their pins in their armchairs.........caught myself doing it a lot recently!

And thats my "non indicative opinion"!

Don't post very often, and don't know how to PM you Elton, but as i said when the topic first appeared you can NEVER have too many centrepins! They all get used and i sit and spin them on the sofa. So i supose i have just talked myself into another, (didn't have to try too hard).

Put me down for one please. Just don't tell the wife :D

Hope I'm not out of line (or going to upset anyone) but I think the pin would look better if the Anglers net.co.uk was a little less "in your face" sorry to be critical chaps but it just look's to much to me, maybe a smaller version or maybe put it on the inside of the spool or even on a small circulr badge would look ok. I also think it should have Jigotai's stamp on it since it's his skill that makes the reel. As I've already said I'm not trying to be critical, just my opp.

Lovely reel all the same.
